This thing feels like i could bash open the skull of a small child with it. The hardware never fails me, but the software does. Installing the drivers for this is a huge pain in the ass. Sometimes, after disconnecting and reconnecting, it will be unrecognized and i have to "install" the driver for it again. (which is really just grabbing the driver in device manager and 'associating' it with it)

Akai still makes the best pads, however this model is known for ghosting and double tapping issues. After taking it apart multiple times, the sensitivity is kinda fucky. Yet its still better than 99% of midi drum pads.

i swapped the 12v and ground connections powering it and needed to pay $54 for its repair outside of this piece of ignorance ive had a great timew ith this device

Dont pay too much for this thing. the amount of control versus the genuine applied variability of its sound isnt really a ratio in its favor.

Making your own patches for the Organelle in puredata is unrealistic for a large part of their users. It's not impossible, but its just not realistic. It's advertised as an easy to learn thing, but is it not. Being restricted to pre-made patches kinda sucks when I paid $750 for this but whatever I guess. It can still do a lot, but the advertising is a bit manipulative.

Every 1x1 midi interface uses the same chip and strangely enough they all have quality control issues. I have gone through like 3 of these. no thanks
