you bought it! You can't put 34s or 77s in there it'll blow up... and also the el84 tube sockets are small noval sockets you would have to remove them and drill for octal sockets toaccomodate 34s, easier just to buy their 50 watt amp man

you're not getting much more than 20 watts outta this without a heavy modification, I wouldn't trust a Chinese output transformer to handle more than what tis designed to. If tis rated for 20 watts you're lucky to get that. If you want a firmer sound you could convert the EL84/6BQ5 tubes to 6973 tubes. This was a tube used inc ar radios starting in the alte 50s, tis a replacement for the ubiquitous 6V6 beam tetrode and sounds similar even though its in a small EL84 bottle. Unlike the 6AQ5 though tis not precisely a small envelope 6V6, its beefed up for long life and can handle higher palte voltages and can dissipate a few ectra watts epr plate. Supro used it and is using it again now that tis been reissued by some tube companies. SUpro ran it really gently but in your amp it can be biased up to have a big round deluxe reverb type of sound and headroom.

a no-mod solution for a somewhat bigger more American sound from your jet city is to switch current production tubes to the TAD brand STR EL84 which is the most 6V6-like current production EL84....for super long tube life at extreme bais conditions (you can make it hotter for more headroom and juicier cleans) you can try the old military spec Russian tubes, they're incredibly robust and sound good with strong clean headroom watt for watt... if you want to get some power amp distortion try the JJ low power EL84 which ahs way les headroom and will allow you to get the clean channel of this amp to break up at a more reasonable level, and the dirt channel will easily be able to clip the power amp, va va voom! I can also mod the amp for you for a small fee if you want.

honestly, at some pint you should mail it to me and have me take the tube sockets, jacks and pots off board for durability and I'll then make any mods you want from there. Since tis the channel switch I can't do my classic post-phase inverter master mod on here, which is a shame because ona single channel 800 circuit like this it gets a bt more of a hot rod plexi tone and more controllable volume

Finally crapped the bed after 4 years. RIP, old friend
This was my first bass amp. It took me through my worst time as a bassist all the way up to now, and I played it as a guitar amp as well. It was here for me during my starting period... and now it's gone.
RIP little buddy. Your slightly muddy overdrive circuit, incredible 1x8 speaker, beautiful tone, and accurate 3-band EQ will be missed.

Don't run it on bass, but I tried it. It's Lemmy-like, but not good enough to justify the bass board.
The cause is that the footswitch does not engage when pressed it engages when released. It’s not faulty that’s how it works.

Beautiful acoustic for the money
Best acoustic for under $200 I've ever played. The neck is great, the wood is durable, and it sounds so amazing. Resonates like a beast, and it rocks with the pickup too. I took mine on a beach vacation and it dealt super well with heat change. Also, it has a truss rod that is super easy to fix, so if the neck is ever affected it's an easy fix.

It's okay, but it's better than that LPJr
So my LPJr broke, and I bought this to replace it after playing it through a DSL40CR and not having the money for the Mustang I wanted. It has really hot pickups and I love the sound of an SG to death, but the frets need work and the neck has a weird feel to it-- not chunky enough but too chunky to be a fast shredder neck. I'm gonna put a PAF in the neck, and I haven't decided about the bridge.

I like these better
Used these for my EP, and the thicker pick is wayyyy better for chords and also bass picking. The stiffness really eliminates scratching noise and makes a loud, hard attack.

Not as stoked as I thought I'd be.
This pedal is good for two things: bone crushing riffs or cool mid-gain overdrive sound. Basically just two op-amp circuits and a bass boost, it's simple and straightforward, but it's hard to use and the pots suck. Plus it has no use in my style of music. But I do really like it.

Ok I guess.
The CS-3 does its job, and compresses my bass signal. It works great for me, because it gets really dirty and sounds almost like a bitcrusher, but that adds to my gain and I really like it.

Fun little guitar
Picked it up as a beater for writing and I haven't looked back. Pickup is pretty hot, and pairs well with my Orange amp. I'm a sucker for the tone control even though it's an on off switch, because it changes a bright lead tone into a thick fuzzy chord tone. Neck is surprisingly nice, though gloss. Frets are leveled and cmfy, and it has a sick look to it n all black.

Oh boy, how I adore these picks. As a bassist, I find them useful for fast strumming because they kind of flop off of the string, not only producing a harder sound but actually helping pick speed. Overall, great.

Awesome for producing garbage records in your basement, and I love it to death. Lots of samples, looping options, etc.
This is really awesome. People will miss if they don't aware of garbage records. I'm also trying to teach some technics for newbies (reviewbestguitars.com) so that they get interested in liking bands.

NOTE: Pickup has (since this review) broken. Stock pickup will after twelve years of closet time stop working, and your E string will sound loud and boomy and the rest will be quiet and tinny. It gets to a point where there is no tone, only sound.
