Create your EquipboardGuitars 3
This was my 1st guitar I bought in 97/98. I still have it to this day and love it. It's got a Dimebucker in the bridge & a Pearly Gates in the neck. Gotta install a OG Floyd Rose in the not-so-distant future. Fuck this knock-off B.C. Bull Shit.
I got this Fender Telecaster off of Musicians Friend in early 2000's. I switched out the Fender Wide Range humbucker and the single coil for a 59 model SH-1 in the neck, and a EMG-81 in the bridge. Sounds fucking awesome \m/(-_-)\m/
Amplifiers 3
I've had this VFX5212 combo since 2003. This 50 watt amp is loud as fuck!! \m/ The only thing I don't like is that it doesn't have a effects loop for my pedals. I guess I need a attenuator and put it between the amp head & speakers so I can crank it loud. I think I'll upgrade to a Budda SuperDrive 80 with a 2x12 cab.
Effects Pedals 22
I've had this little bad boy on my pedalboard since 2003. I think I want to get it modded, just not sure by who and what mod I want done to it. \m/
I noticed that Buzz from the Melvin's had this on his pedalboard, SO I thought I'd add it to mine.
When I pair it with my other pedals I can get some grit and chunk out of my amp. I know
I need to add a Boss Bass 7-band EQ with this pedal.
You can get some really weird noises out of this little pedal. I like the fuzz
I can get out of it. I noticed a long time ago DimeBag Darrell had this on his
pedalboard. Kind of know where he got his fuzz from. It could have been a
blue Arbiter Fuzz Face too.
I've this pedal since 1998 and I just had it modded by AnalogMan. I'm
just waiting for it to come back from Mike @ AnalogMan. I hope it sounds
fucking awesome. I think it's very harsh with the mids. I do know she is a fickle
creature. Let's rock MT-2 \m/
I added this to my pedalboard just in case I wanted to play with
a buddy into one amp or I wanted to play through both of my amps.
I got this bad boy off of Reverb and love the tones I can get from it with a Boss 7-Band EQ. I just keep the bands flat and raise the level. Works great as a booster as do a lot of other things on my board. I switched the OG knobs for some blue MXR knobs, looks badass!!! \m/ (-_-) \m/
I got this pedal back in 2006 for my pedalboard. This pedal
is also a harsh mistress. I run my NoiseGate along with it to cut down
on the hiss and any other noises. 1966-2004 \M/ DLA
I got this pedal because I like Seymour Duncan as a pickup builder and wanted to hear what a distortion
pedal that had his name on it sounded like. It's not that bad, I like it. I get a lot of feedback from this and the others because 2/3 of my guitars have active pickups and my Dimebolt has the Dimebucker.
When I was looking for a tuner this is the tuner that I went with. It has never failed me or did me dirty. Also its on a lot of the pedalboards of the metal gods I listen to \m/ (-_-) \m/
I had to go with the MXR Noise Gate, I am a utilitarian so this thing is great with me. I always buy superior products and never buy inferior products. This is the gate I go with.
I knew what kind of Compressor pedal I wanted. It was the Ross Compressor but as musicians we all know how much they along with the AnalogMan Compressor pedals cost. So I decided to go with the MXR. I've only had it for about 3 weeks and it's a great compressor pedal. I won't got with another unless AnalogMan gives me one for free. C'Mon Mike!!! \m/ (-_-) \m/
Yes, I do have a Marshall BluesBreaker but this guy in Orange County had one of these on CL. I saw how much he wanted so I contacted him and we met up and made the exchange. The MrBlack sounds awesome & I'm so glad that I contacted the guy. You can't have too many OD's/Distortions...right??
I think I might be getting GAS guys...help!! Lol, don't help I like buying them, lol. Plus it also makes my tone sound a lot better. Rock on \m/(-_-)\m/
I like the CAE/MXR Boost/Line Driver. It makes the sounds I need to Boost come alive. Like my OG Marshall BluesBreaker along with my Boss GE-7.
This little pedal has a plethora of tones. I heard a guy get early Metallica out of this little guy. No telling what he was playing or playing out of. Sounded good though. Plus I saw it on CL for cheap \m/
This is my one and only guitar EQ I will use. I plan on adding a Boss EQ for bass. I think it's the GEB-7, so I can get that low end out of my guitar sound/tone. \m/
I -got this Wah along with my DimeBolt, a MT-2 and my little Park/Marshall. I played all day and through the night but longed for more tone and heavier riffs so I played with what I had. I am eventually going to part with this and get a Dime Crybaby Wah. Everything's gotta match, right? 1966-2004 DLA \m/(-_-)\m/
With this one you gotta be very careful when you dial her in. She doesn't like active pickups and only likes certain kinda pedals. It works better with cranked amps. I'm going to have this one modded someway or another.
This is a great pedal very versatile. I love the overdriven tones that I get from this little beast. Jerry Cantrell has it on his pedalboard & I love his signature sound & tones.
Other Gear 4
When I wanna go another direction pick-wise these are my backups I go with.
I love Dunlop picks and they're the only one's I will use. I love how the Gator Grips have that texture on the sides. I wouldn't use anything else.

Past gear 5
I had a set of these in my DBD DimeBolt in the early 2000's but replaced them a short time later after I found out what pickup's he really used. I'm still thinkin' about getting a Bill Lawrence for the bridge. I'm wondering will there be that big of a difference in sound/tone?
\m/
I'm going to get another one of these for my pedalboard. I need to boost those low frequencies, ya know??
I have had this thing since 1997 and it's loud as hell. It's been from the south to SoCal a couple of times and the only thing that broke was the input jack & my friend Richard fixed. It's reliable as hell and sounds great. If I keep it I'm going to replace the stock speaker in it.
This 500T came in my 2005 Gibson Explorer but she had to go & in came a EMG 81.
This 496R came in my 2005 Gibson Explorer but she had to go & in came a EMG 60.
Strings 7
I also use these strings on my guitars along with a heavier A string & heavier E string. Gotta have them heavier strings for palm muting and a lower sound.
These are one of the sets I use when I play. Except I customized this set by adding a .42 for the A-string and .60 for the E. It gives me a much more beefy sound since I have a heavy_pick_hand. Dave Grohl uses this exact set that's why I use it also. \m/
Pickups 6
When you buy a $1100 guitar you gotta go the extra mile & put a EMG 81 in the bridge and this one in the neck. Love the tones you can get from this pickup when you rip it up & getcha pull. I know that's a DimeBag reference but gotta remember the greats DLA \m/(-_-)\m/
I have 2 of these pickups. I have both in the bridge position of my Gibson Explorer and my Fender Tele
\m/(-_-)\m/
I didn't want a Bill Lawrence for my Dime so I put this pickup in the bridge to complement the Pearly Gates I had put in the neck position. I know, I still need a OG Floyd Rose for the DimeBolt.
I heard Dimebag Darrell had this in the neck of one of his guitars so I thought I'd try it out. Sounds great!!!! \m/
I put this in the neck position of my Tele to complement the EMG 81 I
had put in the bridge. SO awesome and SO smooth these two.
Headphones 1
I inherited these and they sound pretty great. Even better now that I know they cost almost $300. I think they make my guitar sounds pop and clearer.
