J John Du Cann uses Fender Telecaster
In the video titled "Atomic Rooster - Sleeping For Years & Vug (Live)" on YouTube, John Du Cann is seen playing a modified Fender Telecaster, characterized by a custom pickguard and a replaced neck pickup. This performance was recorded for 'Beat Club' on August 15, 1970. Superior Bass Practice Amplifier
Ampeg has always been my favorite brand for bass amplification. This little 8" 30-watt guy is no exception. The SGT circuit is usable but not outstanding.
It's well-made and loud enough for practice without disturbing your entire household. The headphone jack is a definite plus.
It's not fancy but it's solid.

I have never been big on "modeling" amplifiers. I've tried two different Fender Mustangs and a BOSS Katana and found them lacking.
Despite this being a modeling amplifier, the fact that it is a hybrid puts it in a different class, at least in my book it does.
The three best "amp models" are 1 (early Fender "Tweed"), 4 (vintage Fender Blackface), and 15 (Fender JazzKing).
The built-in effects of note are the Tremolo with three (3) rate settings and the Vibratone with two (2) speed settings.
I replaced the Fender OEM speaker with a Jensen C8R, and it was a huge improvement.
This is now discontinued but worth seeking out if you want a quality bedroom or practice amplifier with no menu diving. Far better than Mustang or Katanas in my view.

I am not a fan of the modern six-saddle bridge. This one was particularly bad, so it is being swapped for a three-saddle, compensated brass bridge with a Fender "Vintage" plate.

Julian Lage uses Nachoguitars Nachocaster
Julian Lage can be seen playing and talking about his Nachocaster equipped with a Ron Ellis Ellisonic pickup in many of his live performances and interviews, including this on Premier Guitar: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JQRWM0cqkS4&t=130s
Nachocaster guitars are meticulously crafted vintage T-style replicas built by Nacho Baños. This specific guitar is loaded with a Ron Ellis Ellisonic pickup in the neck position. Modeled after the classic DeArmond Dynasonic design, the Ellisonic pickup provides Julian Lage with the incredible acoustic-like clarity, touch sensitivity, and note separation that defines his signature tone.
