Potatoi uses Hofner (Höfner) Contemporary Series Violin Bass Potatoi uses Hofner (Höfner) Contemporary Series Violin Bass

This picture shows Potatoi playing a Hoffner Violin Bass. John Cha's specific model of the Hofner is a CT HCT-500/1 Contemporary series, a much cheaper but still loyal to the original Hofner 500/1. It is still unknown when John acquired this bass, but in his Potatoi YouTube channel, his vlogs shows the Hofner as still being part of his bass collection.

Daniel Kim uses Gibson EB-3 (1972 - 1979) Daniel Kim uses Gibson EB-3 (1972 - 1979)

In the image provided, Daniel Kim is depicted playing a Gibson EB-3 bass from the 1972-1979 production period. This particular model is distinct due to the placement of the neck Mudbucker pickup further from the edge of the fretboard and sometimes having the pickup cover installed at the bridge. While it is unclear if Daniel Kim owned this bass or if it was borrowed for the performance, the image confirms his use of the instrument during a live performance.

Daniel Kim uses Fender Mustang Bass Guitar CIJ Japan Daniel Kim uses Fender Mustang Bass Guitar CIJ Japan

From a GQ interview with Wave to Earth, John Cha mentioned that Daniel had bought him a Fender Mustang Bass made in Japan, finished in Olympic White, and this bass itself would sometimes be played in the hands of Daniel as evidenced by the picture above. Judging from the Hofner Violin Bass seen in the near background, and Dongkyu on drums, it is confirmed that this bass still belonged to John Cha; however, Daniel would use it from time to time when John himself moved to guitar.
