In this Resident Advisor piece eulogizing producer and DJ Paul Johnson, Gant Garrard (aka DJ Gant-Man) recounts his teenage days being mentored by Johnson, and learning to use the gear in Johnson's studio. The DR-660 is mentioned by name:

Johnson would eventually take Garrard under his wing, letting the young artist use his studio and lending production assistance on his debut record, The Youngest Professional D.J., released via Dance Mania in 1995. There was a lot Garrard had to prove. "[Johnson] was like, 'If you come over here you're gonna learn and you're gonna work, you ain't gonna waste my time.'" He recalls, "And I just showed him I was serious." Among his gear, Johnson had a budget sampler, the Akai S01, a TR-909 and a Roland R-70—of which the two producers were both fans because Johnson used the synth on his early records—and a Boss DR-660 Dr. Rhythm. "He showed me the drum machines, and I kid you not, in one day I caught on. He was like, 'Man, you got it. Go on, do your thing, create," Garrard remembers.

This track evolved out of messing around with a new instrument I picked up at the time, called Synplant by Sonic Charge. It's got a real unusual but ingenious interface... if you're into synths I highly recommend checking it out. This song is a mockup of how the music behaves in the game. In game, this song is broken up into 27 individual assets, and plays phrases periodically, and moves through different keys depending on the time of day in FEZ.

Disasterpeace has confirmed the use of a Moog Minimoog in the creation of the track "Love" from the FEZ OST. In the track description on Bandcamp, Disasterpeace stated:

I was messing with a minimoog one day and wrote this randomly. It was probably the most complete piece of music I had ever written entirely to be performed in one go at a piano or keyboard. (also might be the shortest, haha)

John Paul Jones is confirmed to use the Roland JX-8P, as evidenced by an Instagram post from soundgasltd, which announces an auction of gear from his studio, including this synthesizer.
