Small pedal, big impression
This pedal makes me sound better. Subtle optical compression, EQ knob comes handy when the compressor is placed after your drive pedals to bring treble back. What it does is that it makes your overall tone fuller on any setting without squashing it, even if you can't really hear the compression in effect (settings from 7:00 to 11:00). Around 2:00 you are getting to that squishy territory, but words can't describe how pleasant it sounds opposed to a Dynacomp.
Personaly, I like to have it after my dirt pedals, so I can still use the advantages of rolling down the volume knob on the guitar but also have balanced volume level. I definitely recommend to anyone who would love to have a compressor, but didn't like the squishiness of a Dynacomp.
Preferred Settings + Usage:
Volume: 11:00 Comp: 11:00-13:00 EQ: 12:00-13:00

Essential, Simple & Cheap: One of my favourites of Mooer
I like so much how this pedal squeeze my signal and gives more body to the sound. Also the Volume and EQ options are very useful. I just wish this pedal has a blend control, but it's ok because this compressor can be very subtle if you want. It's almost always on when I play, especially on my clean sound.
Preferred Settings + Usage:
Everything at 12 o'clock works very well for me. I just touch EQ a little bit when I need more brightness.

Can't go wrong
It takes up virtually no space and sounds the same as boutique optical compressors that cost 3-4x as much. This is a hot take, but most compressors (of the same type) will be very difficult to distinguish when used with electric guitar, with the main variable being how many parameters you can control. For bass, a higher end compressor with carefully selected components can make more of an audible difference.
So if you're a guitarist, you're getting the same experience here as you would with the $300+ Diamond Jr, but this can be found for like 40 bucks. No brainer.

Secret sauce for your clean tone
Finally get why people say a good compressor is essential. Have just purchased this and can only say good things.
Super natural sounding, makes my playing easier and just sound more alive.
Apart from its sound and voicing, its value is in its simplicity - start with everything at 12 o’clock and dial to taste from there.
Doesn’t have an Attack control or a Mix control, but I’d argue it just doesn’t need them.
Preferred Settings + Usage:
Volume = 11 oclock Comp = 12 Tone = 1

Everyone should get one
Add this little fella to your pedalboard right now. It tightens up everything and tone shines through, whether you're accentuating brighter or darker notes. What I love the most about this pedal is that, in comparison to other world-reknowned compressors such as the MXR DynaComp and the Boss CS-3, the Mooer Yellow Comp doesn't scoop the mids, leaving you with a compressed sound that isn't thin or weak by any means and that doesn't lose its body.
Sounds incredible either clean or distorted (or fuzzed!), it really lifts up everything you play and lets the transients shine through.
Preferred Settings + Usage:
I seem to get the best results out of this with a mid-to heavy compression (comp-knob between 2-3 o clock), with the rest of the knobs at noon.

Sounds like butter!
I love the subtle compression of this pedal. This can also act as a clean boost. That's double whammy for me, Also for its price? Damn. Bang for the buck, for sure!

Good first compressor
I don't have much experience with standalone compressors, but this one seems to really gel with me. It helps to add a sense of uniformity and tightness to the sound. The EQ function also works well to match rigs and give different flavors as well. It can be used subtly or with a lot of squish. Noise is not very noticeable.
It shines like a diamond.
the optical nature of this compressor along with the EQ sweep eliminates the need for a separate EQ pedal. This is sticking on my board until I can upgrade to either a Yara or a Deep Six
