Good guitar but needs some tweaks out of the box

Out of the box, the neck was extremely crooked, so I adjusted the truss rod. As well as that, the bridge was not at all intonated, and the action was higher than a New Yorker. But with some tweaks, the guitar sounded and felt pretty good. The neck is pretty big, which I like. The pickups on the other hand are very thin, low output, and the pickup covers are made out of some rough plastic.

Preferred Settings + Usage:

Great for modding. I recreated mine into the Albert Hammond Jr Strat

Versatile

The tone controls can greatly affect the tone. It sounds bright at times, but can also create a thick low nirvana bleach tone.

Great tones

It sounds like a mixture between a big muff and a univox super fuzz. There is a secret mode between mode 1 and mode 2 that sounds like an overdrive.

Great amp

Good for practicing AND performing. My band and I went on a small tour of Iowa and we used this amp as our lead guitar amp. We used a microphone to capture the sound of the amp and sent it to a subwoofer. Great clean tone and great high gain overdriven sound.

Greatest snare EVER.

I bought this snare at a guitar Center for my birthday. I got this snare along with a remo ambassador coated head, a remo ambassador hazy snare side head, and Evans snare wires. This combo is very versatile. With low tuning, it is very fat and imitates the tone of the snare on John mayors music. Medium tuning sounded like your average snare, and high tuning was very cracky and had a little bit of ring.

Great feeling

I got this drumset because it was smaller and I was playing a gig in a living room. It feels great, but the bass drum tone was very flat and cracky.

Great!

I got this as my first pair of hi hats when I was just getting started. Best decision of my career. Very durable, and sounds great.

Good

It sounds like a b8 china! It is very washy, very b8 like with the odd tone, and very thin. If you want a thin china that flops a lot, get this.

Great!

First cymbal I ever bought, and the best cymbal that I have ever bought. Tone is on point, pricing isn’t too high, and is very versatile.

Absolute beaut

Tone is impeccable! It sounds great and is very reliable. I use it live, for fun, and for recording. It is very washy.

(One of the) Greatest set I have played

I got mine for $300 and it played like a charm. The stock heads actually sound pretty good, it stays in tune, and it is cheap. I would recommend getting it for all drummers, beginner to experienced!

Fun project!

This review doesn’t really matter. I made the Albert Hammond jr strat using budget parts off of temu and such. It plays like a charm! If you are good with electronics, and with building with hands, I would definitely recommend building a partscaster.

Preferred Settings + Usage:

I used it live a few times. Great for stage destruction and for budgets.

Good guitar

Good guitar. The intonation is good, the action was okay, and the truss rod needed adjustment. The neck is very scratchy and the high e string gets stuck on frets a lot.

Very good!

What can I say? It’s a beautiful fender with great specs! I got mine from a raffle at a guitar store and it plays like a charm.

Eh

Okay at best. The pots were very scratchy, but everything else was functioning properly. Intonation was good, surprising for a guitar i purchased used for less than $30.

Dreamy

I got it off of Amazon and straight out of the box it played great. The frets were not buzzing, the intonation was surprisingly good, the action was quite low, and the tuners actually stayed in tune for a long time! I would recommend this for any player, beginner and experienced!

Preferred Settings + Usage:

Very good hendrix chimney tone in 4th position, and humbucker pickup is very hot which is good for distortion.

Surprisingly good!

I have had this cymbal for about 6 years and i got it used. Very washy. For a cymbal i got for 20 dollars usd, i think it is a great choice for someone whose budget isn’t that big.

Good for the price

I got a new one at a guitar center. I played pretty good, but had a little bit of fret buzz.

Great!

I got it new at a guitar Center. Fresh out the box, intonation was great, no fret buzz, and great sounding pickups.
