Coated Studio-X with a power dot provides more slam and is easier to tune than Powerstroke 3 due to its unique muffling ring placement.

Greatest snare EVER.
I bought this snare at a guitar Center for my birthday. I got this snare along with a remo ambassador coated head, a remo ambassador hazy snare side head, and Evans snare wires. This combo is very versatile. With low tuning, it is very fat and imitates the tone of the snare on John mayors music. Medium tuning sounded like your average snare, and high tuning was very cracky and had a little bit of ring.

The best you can get for under 200.
Love my Supralite. It really is the best you can get for under 200. Tube lugs and 2.3mm rims. Gets that Bonham snare sound without costing you an arm and a your kick leg... ;) The heads that come with it are ok I changed mine out to a Remo hazy on the bottom and Remo Vintage Emperor on top...
