Classic
My default distortion, gets the job done nicely. Easily the best pick for a starter rig
Electro-Harmonix EH-4600 Small Clone
Avg price: $97.38
Simple, classic chorus
Gets just the right sound with simple controls. Very intuitive, and a staple in my rig.
Harmonizer & Octave Effects Pedals
Avg price: $52.31
Decent pitch adjuster
This works best on the harmony setting. I find the default pitch shift to have some unpleasant artifacts, at least for guitars. I would not use this as a way to not have to tune between songs
Avg price: $31.99
Good budget wah
Gets the exact, silly tone I’m looking for, without having to use my feet too much.
MXR DD25 Green Day Dookie Drive V3
Avg price: $259.39
Suprisingly versatile!
I have been using this as a way to quiet down my guitar tone and have almost like a phone-call esque filter. Perfect for guitar intros that go into an explosive section.
Preferred Settings + Usage:
Output - 1:30 Gain - slightly less than all the way left Blend - all the way left Tone - all the way left Scoop - on
Avg price: $124.00
Eh
Not great as a pedal, I’ve been using it as a way to split my guitar chain into two outputs. When I do turn it on, it’s too trebly to actually get a decent tone out of it. It also may just be age but the actual off-on stomp only works half the time.
Caline CP-41 Ghost Rain Reverb Delay
Avg price: $44.80
Avg price: $35.12
Decent budget tuner
I use this a lot when tuning my guitars, not much else to say other than it does the job well
Avg price: $59.99
It’s alright
The center dial is super sensitive, yet stupid easy to accidentally knock over when playing, causing your tone to be different after every time you step on it. May work fine when someone in the control room is using it, but if your in the position where you have someone else turning on your pedals, you likely don’t need to worry about a budget pedal. Still fun to play around with though
Avg price: $34.11
Simple reverb
On the rare occasion I use reverb pre-mix, I use this pedal. A nice, budget friendly reverb pedal with great versatility
