Best amp available for $250
I've heard that this amp is a clone of a Laney Cub, which runs about $200 more than the price of this one. I've never played a Laney, so I can't compare, but by its own rights, this amp is fantastic. I use it for a practice amp at home, but it could easily fill up a small venue. The tones go from very bright and clean to a smooth crunch.
A great intermediate player's guitar
To be clear, this is a $400 guitar that is made in Indonesia. But it is fantastic for the price, hence the 5-star rating. Mine could probably use a bit of setup. The frets are a little buzzy if you don't hit the exact spot, but it has a beautiful finish, plays smoothly, and it sounds great! The P90 pickups are the same ones used in the higher-end G&L guitars. It sounds so, so good through a clean tube amp. I've had someone play mine and want to buy it from me.

Emerson Custom EM-Drive Mach 2 Transparent Overdrive Pedal
Avg price: $70.99
Light to heavy overdrive, always smooth
This is very similar to the original EM-Drive pedal: a transparent drive that adds sparkle, brightness, weight and depth to your tone. The one upgrade for the Mach 2 is the addition of the color knob, which is basically a tone control, going from more bassy to the left to more trebley to the right. Hidden extreme gain mode when the gain is turned all the way up and color knob is turned all the way to the left.

Love this setup. Compact, and great pedal selection. It all just looks to go together perfectly.
