Generic Meds

They sound like fucking headphones that don't go on your head. Really in depth. I still jump when I hear something in a recording and it sounds like it's behind me from these speaks.

This should have came out in 2010. The shit they added to this one, other daw's already have. They act like re-pitching a wav file in the arrange page easily is some sort of breakthrough solar experience. Fuck off. I only stay using it because I've gotten used to it.........for now.

You could tell these dudes put alot of work into recording different drums at different volumes, diff rooms, etc etc etc etc wow wtf. I love it. The interface is great. You can mix the drums there and then sound out to channels. Works well as both main and back drums. Can edit drums to sound quite different from their true source and it still will sound decent.

This synth is an ar-15 to me. Medium at everything. But accurate, lightweight, and enough power to get the job done without shit getting blown up everywhere and excessive recoil. Then if you add your own attachments, it starts to become it's own individual piece (distortion, satu, comp, etc). Extremely flexible. Programming is actually easier than having a shit despite how it looks. Very clever. I mean, u can fucking chain all of their filters together after an osc. or send osc 1 to different filters on a diff lane into disto or ringmod.... fuck. u see? You can get some really complex textures out of it. Sold my Waldorf Blofeld for this and had $200 weed money left = Damn great deal.

It's good in sound and well, punch. Nice parameters for toning exact settings of punch, what freq in a drum it punches at, blah blah ADSR blah. Very nice. Where it kinda sucks a little is it's layout. It's sorta dumb as fuck. Either the person who designed the layout smoked too much weed, or smoked too little. But it is still useful. Can import your own samples + has it's own basic snares n shit you can tune like hell. Presets are....... overdone. Too much free coffee handed out on the days the presets were done. It is cheap though. Which is why I give it a 5.

These plugins all sound like dust was ran through them. Different sorts of dust and clay and shit you'd never want caught in your shoes. Wtf am I talking about..... oh yeah. These plugs. Amazing delays. Echoboy should be called EchoPimp instead. You will experience anger however; anger that you bought all these other delays before it. Because this shit does everything.... nicely. I've started whole tracks based on the rhythm this delay puts on a simple sound. Almost all those plugs are up to that quality. Check demos or die.

This plugin is dumb as fuck. I get the point, but what the fuck? It's overly complex, but does fuck all compared to others. It's gimmick is it's stutters....... which I'm sure used tastefully are nice and okay. But you're better off just buying stutter effect and calling it a day. I usually make silly stutter crap then render out into a slicer or something. Too of much of a pain to sit there and run this thing along with your sequencer as I think they intended. Get only on sale.

Yeah you know I get it, you wanted to clone the fucking real unit. Wonderful. That's nice. Just for fuck's sake, why would u not put a link to the left and right channels for compression parameters? Seriously? Why didn't you mail me a patch that I could attach to my monitor that releases the smell of the real unit? ok ok. 4 out of 5. Plugin does sound extremely nice on drum bus's and of course, master bus. but fuck. I've screwed up whole tracks because 1 number didn't match the other. And you can't tell from first glance. Get only on sale for < $200

It's good. It sounds sexual whether you're monitoring or recording in.. but........... I've had the duet 1 w/ firewire. Sure it doesnt sound as crisp, but the difference is 10%. Sound would even call it "warmer". You can get a used duet 1 for like 100-200. You do the math. I think they should take of oled display and make it cheaper. Nevertheless, I do use mine regularly for recording in and monitoring. Sounds great. Soft clip coming in sound great as well with transient heavy signals

I got it on sale for 50. I always force myself to use it. It's okay I guess. Sounds okay. Don't bother much with it anymore. Waves l2-l3 sound better and are simpler to me. Yeah yeah, maybe I'm setting this one up wrong but the interface doesn't inspire much use. Get only on sale. < $50

The daw that started it all..... now on mac. My life is complete. I will die happy now. Still sucks bantha wank for mixing, still beyond excellent for arrangement and composing parts/loops/sounds. Combined with a multi track arrange page based daw (logic, cubase, bro tools, abl, etc) using fl for sound production and traditional daw for mixing/arrange will energize and maximize use of both in a sort of "event horizon"/ stacking perks way.

The whole samurai thing died out long ago I think. But it's spirit has lived on in the form of this speaker. Made by one of the most diverse companies, this Yamaha speaker is overload in cost to work efficiency. Cheap as fuck, great. But what it also does is take you into it's dojo of sound and yell at you at why X sounds bad. Yeah. they're mean. And they talk quick too. But in the end, you will come out a better mixer. They have a midrange boost focus that points out one of the hardest things to do in this world: Balance. Balance to me is even more important than eq. You can balance so easily on them. Great mains (if you put in time to get to know them) and great 2ndaries to check shit on.

Damn fine Eq. That whole dynamics schpeal on bands is genius. Sort of a cheat code of timing horseshit without having to bust out compression (which may affect whole signal.) or multi band compression. Free version is functional as hell. Just 4 bands. Still enough for basic stuff. Give it a go. HAS ANALYZER in free version also. oooo yeah that's great. Excellent alternative to replace your general eq from your daw's eq, but don't want to spend 170 bux for fabfilter.

Smooths bass out nice. Everything else...... too damn smooth. Don't do alot of vocal so unknown how it sounds on that.

What a bunch of hype these speakers were. YAWN. I had them for 2 days. first day: "wow, everything sounds so wide and nice. Wonder why I can't hear detail? Maybe I have allergies". second day: "wtf. it's not me. It's the damn speakers." Well, for their price..... it is worth it. Cheap as hell. Good listening speakers I guess. Esp for an office and you want a better than shyyt computer speaker sound. But for mixing"???? Nah I'm good. I gave some stars because hey, they are cheap. But studio monitors? ........... sort of.

Worst monitors ever. Not because it sounds like shit. No. because It's such a mismatch. The tweeter is excellent. Excellent. Sounds over 2.5khz sound nice But the woofer sounds like a donkey hitting it's ass against drywall. wtf? Everything below 2.5 is blurry. Yes, I thought the same thing: "maybe they need time to break in". Then 3 weeks later, they sounded worse. The tweeter leveled out. The woofer..... same blurryness. Obvious mismatching to try to reduce costs. Shoulda put less quality into tweeter and more into woofer. And by the way they're over-priced as fuck. Even the speaker itself has 0 = or "o" face because it can't believe your bank account is taking that sorta fucking for nothing. Suggestion: Get a5x instead. Stay away.

Terrible. I got them and returned them. Yes, I burned them in. Yes, I tried it in only mono. Yes, with only one speaker. They just sounded..... blurry all the time. Good tracks sounded blurry, shit tracks sounded blurry. Keep in mind, these were the active versions. It's possible the little teeny amps they stuff into these fuckers simply can't be good enough quality. Oh well. Compared to Auratone 5c (revision) with a cheap amp, they don't even come close.
