This was the first electric guitar I owned when I was 14 or 15. Its not a bad guitar considering it came with a small 10watt amp, gig bag, video and accessories for around £100. Its a Very light guitar. It weighs a fraction of what a Fender would be, giving it quite a thin tone. The pickups are a bit weak but not to bad for a beginner. The clean tones aren't to bad through a bigger amp. The gain tones aren't to great. I still use this guitar on occasion through a 20watt Marshall via a couple of pedals and it sounds good for punk and grunge.
Its definitely a great guitar for someone learning to play, but I would recommend a Vintage or a Squier over Encore for a beginners guitar if you have a bit more to spend.
Overall though not bad at all!
