Create your EquipboardBass Guitars 6
It's a very solid bass guitar with powerful pickups. You can choose a 60s classic sound or something more aggressive and bright by pushing/pulling one of the knobs. It's a Billy Sheehan signature model - so I guess you can trust it! - that's about a mixture of his old Yamaha BB bass and the Attitude bass guitar. It's a very pretty bass guitar. People complain abut the difficulty to execute slaps because of the neck pickup. Well, in my opinion it's pure stupidity, since the slap isn't the only "hot shot superbassman" technique in the world - and some bassists seems to think that it is - and if you want slaps YOU CAN do it. It's just a matter of get used to the guitar and it's construction. The most important: this bass has an amazing sound.
It's ridiculous limitating this bass to begginers, as another fellow on this avaluation page said. It's a guitar that can satisfy begginers and professional musicians. What's the matter? The bass is low cost, comparing to the other ones - those with one hundred knobs of adjusts and a lot of useless and complicated stuff? If you you can equalize an amp, or your pedals can sound good and, especially, if your hands has talent, this bass guitar is a very usefull tool. It's not everyone who can buy an expensive guitar - just to show up here and spread non sense about low cost and great equipment. PLUS: I've seen a lot of great and professional bassists playing Squier line.
