En 1954, Andrés Segovia escribió un artículo "in memoriam" de Hauser en la revista Guitar Review, n. 16. En este artículo, Segovia calificó una guitarra de Hauser como "la guitarra más importante de nuestra época" (The Greatest Guitar of our Epoch).

Segovia se estaba refiriendo a la guitarra que Hauser hizo para él en 1937 (la guitarra está fechada el 4 de febrero de 1937) y que fue la causante de que Segovia arrinconase la "Ramírez" que venía tocando desde sus inicios.
