Description

Now you can easily use a standard XLR microphone cable for the excellent Electro-Voice EV-666 and EV-655C vintage microphones. NOTE: The adapter does not fit the EV-655 which has an XL-3 connector. The UA-3-11 female pin connectors that fit the microphone's UA-3-12 male pin connector are and have been obsolete for years. They are very, very difficult to find and if you can find them they are very expensive. This adapter is designed and fabricated in my shop and allows the use of standard XLR to XLR mic cables on these great vintage microphones.

This adapter is made from the finest materials and will stand up to rugged service. The adapter is designed to be semi-permanently attached to the microphone. They are easily attached and also easily removed with a supplied tool. There is no compromise to the performance of the microphone. I also can also supply a complete microphone cable for the EV-666 and EV-655 with an original Cannon UA-3-11 connector for the purist who desires an original type cable.

A lifesaver for my Electro-Voice EV-666.

I use this adapter so as to use normal XLR cables with my old Electro-Voice EV-666. The Electro-Voice EV-666 originally used to use Cannon UA-3-11 cables which are really tough to find these days. Although I do have the original Cannon UA-3-11 cable, I never use that cable for live gigs, it's an original vintage cable and I can't risk using it live. For live gigs, this adapter is a huge lifesaver.
