Review: Are La Patrie Classical Guitars All That Good? – Nylon Plucks

nylonplucks.com

La Patrie Collection QI offers a commendable blend of craftsmanship and affordability, making it a solid choice for beginner to intermediate players. Its thin finish enhances tonal clarity, while the quality cedar top is a standout feature. However, the guitar's robust build can lead to a heavier feel, potentially dampening resonance for some. The neck shape may not suit everyone, dividing opinions on playability. Despite these drawbacks, the Collection excels in sound quality and durability, ensuring it remains a reliable instrument for years. Overall, it’s a mixed bag that appeals to many, but not all.

Rex and the Bass: La Patrie Collection Acoustic Guitar Review

rexbass.com

While the La Patrie Collection QI boasts impressive construction with premium materials, including a solid spruce top and Indian rosewood body, it ultimately falls short in sound quality. The reviewer notes a muffled tone that does not resonate as expected, attributing it possibly to the guitar's thick finish and thinner neck profile. Although it feels comfortable and well-balanced, the higher action and lackluster acoustics make this top-tier model disappointing compared to its cheaper counterparts. Prospective buyers are advised to try before purchasing, as this guitar may not meet the expectations set by its price tag.

La Patrie’s Front Runner Classical

On a complete whim and without ever before holding in my hands or strumming, my entry level classical guitar began with the Etude. For trial, playability, comfort, price and connection. Bought it used on here to be honest. Not much more than 3 days later Etude arrived at my door and following its liberation from cardboard into my arms it jumped and sang for a year and accompanied my return solo acoustic set after an almost 10 year hiatus. From there I slowly climbed the La Patrie ladder purchasing the Concert (personal Favorite) onto the Collection. Fully equipped with 9volt preamp plug-in and the warmest smooth playing classical guitar I’ve ever witnessed. This guitar is mega rare, mildly expensive and beautiful.
