In this screenshot of a May 17, 2026 Instagram post by fademarginmusic, David Ralicke can be seen playing his Roland AE-20W ("W" = "white edition") digital wind instrument. The performance was with his band, Dengue Fever, at Gold Digger's Bar in Los Angeles, May 16, 2026.
I didn't take the video linked above, but I was at this show. David whipped out this white plastic wind synth for a few songs after about an hour of faultless traditional saxophoning. Nobody seemed to know what in the @#$% it was he was playing, but he coaxed some lovely breathy flutes as well as raw, guttural sounds out of it, and seemed to have a very good time in the process. You can hear for yourself in the linked post.
