"Alcohol" and "California Bound"

"Alcohol" and "California Bound" are the only two tracks with this pedal in it on rhythm, but Nick used it for lead tones on the whole record.

jacob_keplinger

"Death"

Used on the entire first record for all electric guitar tones.

Live amp 2017

Used this amp for the house circuit we played in 2017 promoting Death in the Afternoon. Never recorded.

Justin's guitar, used by Nick on LP1

Nick used this for the guitar solos in "18 Years" and "Calvin Klein", as well as "I Can't Stop Loving You" and "I Want To Go Home".

"KEEP'EMOUT!" bridge

Dueled with the synth pad and lead guitar in the "KEEP'EMOUT!" bridge, you can also hear a Drop-B tuned Taylor GS Mini-E. Justin bought it at a guitar center in Harrisburg, PA.

"Body", "KEEP'EMOUT!"

"Body" and "KEEP'EMOUT!" are my favorite rhythm tones on the second record, both of which were recorded with a $200 Jackson JS22. Thing ripped.

Felonious Wilma

Bought during a short break we took in between self-titled and FW album cycles. Used for all of the rhythm tracks on FW as well as live for a while.

So much for so little

Recorded it on "Monuments", then sold it to a pawn shop so I could go to Upstate New York for a hiking trip. When I returned, I went back to the pawn shop to see if it was still there (it was, and there was a New Threads business card in the gig bag to prove it), so I bought it back. For less than I sold it for.

Never recorded...

Never recorded ...except for in "Peach", there's 4 acoustic guitar tracks, and two of them are this guitar. It was also on "When I Get Paid" from SB1. It's biggest role was in the "Now & Then" music video.

"Death in the Afternoon"

Most of my electric tones from the first record came out of this... as well as Justin's PRS Custom 22.

First guitar

This was my first electric guitar. Enjoyed it for a while, never made it onto a NT or SB album. Appears on a record i did in high school.

Forgettable

Used it live once, at a house show. Never beyond that. Used on a couple of b-sides to the second album.

"Body"

Used this guitar on the 10-track mixtape I made- including guitar tracks that would make it onto the album version of "Body". Sold soon after that was made, only used on the one track.

The self-titled guitar.

Used a heavy modded one of these for pretty much all of the second NT album as well as the second SB album. Didn't get recorded anywhere else, but I used it live for all of 2017 and the first half of 2018. Bought it right after we finished recording DITA.

Double Single

Used live a good amount in Summer 2018, as well as on the rhythm tracks for "Alone, Leave Me" and "Monuments".

One part in "California Bound"

In the final chorus of the song ["California Bound"], there are these distorted guitar bends at the beginning of each bar, walking up the scale. That was a Fender Mustang 90 with a Dimarzio Tone Zone in the bridge.

It's an HSH now...

Dropped a Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates humbucker on the bridge and neck, and a Seymour Duncan Custom single coil in the middle.

jacob_keplinger

UPDATE: got rid of the middle single coil, installed a 3 way switch, took out the second tone knob and shifted the remaining two knobs down a hole, put a coil split in the master tone knob and changed the pickguard to white to match the new layout of the electronics.

jacob_keplinger

Well...

It used to be an American Special, but I modded the absolute hell out of it and essentially turned it into one of these.

Custom Version

Customized this bass for myself. Sounds/plays/looks great. I've used it on every record I've made since September 2016 (Seymour Butts, Death in the Afternoon, Seymour Butts 2).

jacob_keplinger

Great

I use it on my pedalboard with a Morley ABY switch to go between my electric rig and acoustic rig seamlessly.
