Long story

Bought this guitar and recorded it on "Body" and "KEEP'EMOUT!". Eventually, I sold it to Nick and he used it as his main guitar for that whole year really. About 6 months after he left the band, I bought it back from him and now I use it as my backup guitar. I dropped a couple PAF 36th's in there, too.

The Post-FW Guitar

Bought almost immediately following the recording sessions for FW. A handful of tracks were re-recorded with this guitar, but it was mostly used live and for demos in the latter half of 2018.

Best pick

Best pick around. Used on every guitar track I've ever recorded.

S/T, double singles

Used this amp for all of the second record and for "Alone, Leave Me" and "Monuments". After we recorded FW and started playing out, I stopped using my Orange head and converted this into a head for my Egnater cab.

jacob_keplinger

2019 update: This converted head was used for all of 'Threadsboro' and 'Free Rock,' as well as for all of the Bootleg episodes in season 1.

Power

Powered my board for the first few years.

"California Bound" and "Alone, Leave Me"

Used in the bridge of "California Bound" as well as the solo of "Alone, Leave Me".

Summer 2018

Summer 2018 live delay. Appears at the end of "Monuments".

Infinite album

The clicking delay that starts "Alcohol" and finishes "Peach" is coming from this pedal.

jacob_keplinger

"Alcohol"

Used for the second and third NT records.

jacob_keplinger

"KEEP'EMOUT!"

Pedal used for the intro of "KEEP'EMOUT!".

jacob_keplinger

"Alone" and "Monuments"

This pedal was heavily used during the promotion period for the self-titled record, in Summer 2018, as well as recorded on "Alone, Leave Me" and "Monuments".

OG

Used since I built my first pedalboard, in 2016. Used on every record to date.

Felonious Wilma

Bought during a short break we took in between self-titled and FW album cycles. Used for all of my guitar tracks on FW (except ALM and Monuments). My main electric for the entire second half of 2018 and through the FW cycle. I upgraded a lot of the hardware, including the tuners (I took the garbage Min-E Tuners off and put Grover lockers on), the pickups (dropped a Super Distortion in the bridge), as well as the bridge and nut.

More recently, I took the chrome pickup covers off and replaced the chrome knobs with black Zappa-esq top hat ones. Black toggle switch to match, and then finally I took the pickguard off. My main axe.

July 2019 update: Threw a Bigsby B5 on it for Threadsboro, and still have it on throughout Bootleg/SFTV and Free Rock.

"Alcohol" and "Peach"

Not the delay tone, but the reverb tone on the ambient parts is mostly thanks to this.

Bridge of Cali Bound

In the bridge, when the tapping solo happens, the rhythm tones both flange and phase. This is the phaser.

jacob_keplinger

"Long Ride" and "Now & Then"

All of the rhythm tones on these two songs feature heavy use of the MXR Micro Chorus.

jacob_keplinger

Lead tone

Used it for the lead tones in "California Bound".

3 songs

Used on "Body", "KEEP'EMOUT!", and the first guitar solo in "Long Ride". Sold it after we finished up NT, but I found myself missing it for that year, and so when we began touring FW, I bought it again.

April 2020 Update: Still my main drive during Free Rock and Buford. Might be replaced on the next LP.

"Body" and "KEEP'EMOUT!"

Used on "Body" and "KEEP'EMOUT!" with the Jackson JS22.

jacob_keplinger

Workhorse

Used this pedal for all main rhythm tones on the second NT record, then bought it again after we finished recording FW.
