Far Better Than The Price Suggests
Now is the best time to get a cheap consumer mass production guitar. They're making the entry level guitars far better quality than ever before. This Jackson Rhoads model is no exception. Almost every GC has one hanging on the wall. Go and check it out. You might be surprised. The neck feels great (frets could use some polishing but will clean up with general use over time), super light weight guitar (won't break your back), very affordable (won't break your bank), and sounds amazing (both clean and distorted). Classic rock/metal tones (ac/dc all the way to black dahlia murder). Won't "djent". Very versatile too. Surprisingly can play clean jazz stuff great with bigger strings. Mine's tuned drop C with Ernie Ball 10-52's. Lots of great reviews on YouTube as well.

A LOT of guitar for the money
Best $300 I ever spent. Should have been priced at $600 if you ask me. This is my main guitar. It feels amazing and has a lot of sustain, and plays similar to a Les Paul, Gibson SG or Explorer. Mine's tuned to Drop C with 10-52 Ernie Ball strings. Perfect for classic rock, blues, and some jazz (with the neck pickup). I play a very clean tone through my Marshall Origin 50 stack and no pedals. I prefer this cheap light weight guitar over my fancy and heavy Les Paul supreme. I have the black version as well and also wish I had one more silver and one more black for a total of four PS60s.

Favorite Cabinet
Wanted a flat front element as oppose to the more popular slanted version. Growing up with half and full stacks, I absolutely needed to have the fullness of a 4 speakers and a giant box as oppose to just one in a small box. I put casters on mine but it's so light weight that I can easily lift it without hurting myself. Weighs less than the Orange 2x12 I have. I want several more of these for my collection, with casters. Best used with the Marshall Origin 50 amp head for that classic Marshall and classic tones.

My Main Amp
Best Marshall for the money. I actually perceive this amp as the next step in evolution of Marshall amplification. It has all the tone and feel of the original plexiglass super lead but without the extra weight so you won't hurt your back. The attenuation switches allow me to blast this thing in my apartment without any noise complaints. Unlike the original super leads, this amp has a send/return if you want to use pedals. It's super compact and light weight compared to the vintage models. If you like pedals, this is a super clean amp for pedals. If you like classic rock, this is the best amp for that. I want several more of these for my collection. Would not use a super lead over this one. This is my pride and joy for all my Marshall and classic rock/blues/jazz/country tones. The Les Paul and Telecaster especially sound amazing through this rig

All the low end & sustain you want from an acoustic. I absolutely love the sound & feel of this guitar. Has lots of treble & presence. Slaps hard. Current tuning drop G#

Played the F out of this guitar when I was 18. It has a unique V profile neck that feels weird & makes other guitars harder to play after a while

Great for singing. Catches all/any dynamics. Do not cup the mic. Run this through a noise gate, 80hz+ low cut & slight compression to sound brilliant. fun fact: Hayley Williams of Paramour used this a lot during the RIOT days. This is the mic she had wrapped up in orange tape & toured with.

Home Collection: Great guitar. RIP Dimebag Darrell
I went through a Dimebag Darrell phase around 2004. For a while I owned a Dean slime bumble bee razor back. There's videos of me playing it on YouTube. This was my backup for that one. I sold the razorback but decided to keep this one. Mine has amazing cut of mahogany wood on it. It's beautiful. thin necked with a v profile (definitely feels weird to play but in a good metaly way). Mine came with a Seymour Duncan JB & Licensed Floyd Rose Tremolo. I need to switch those things someday & then it will be even more amazing. I don't really play this guitar at all. I just keep it as a fan of Pantera & Dimebag Darrell.

Ever since I was 12 it's been a childhood fantasy to own/play a Gibson Les Paul supreme. When I was 18 I finally bought this model used for a little less than $1500 at local music store Uptown Music in Keizer OR. The previous owner had sanded the neck so mine has a natural wood neck finish. This axe has amazing cleans & beautiful rock/metal distortion. I use neck pickup volume very low for clean tone, then switch to bridge pickup with volume almost all the way up for distortion. It's built/designed similar to a violin. The back is arched like a violin. Great aesthetic but no back panel means you can't clean the insides though I've never needed to. Current tuning: Drop C.

Home Collection: Back up
I used this as a back up for my LTD SC_607. They are actually very different guitars. Bought used from local music store Uptown Music in Keizer OR for around $300. Great steal. Not as clean toned as my LTD for some reason but still great for metal music. I rarely ever play this guitar. It sits in my collection.

Huge Deftones & Stephen Carpenter Fan. Got all the classic Deftones tones in this beautiful beast. Bought when I was 14 (2004) & been playing it ever since. Some things never change. Great for all kinds of metal.

Extremely versatile with extended 7th string range. I absolutely love this guitar. Took me a while to get used to the stock pickups but now I wouldn't switch them out not even for Bareknuckles. Unique fat tone. Some people complained about a lack of bottom end when this model came out. What they meant was the bottom end is very muddy. This easily cleans up when you use a tube screamer or low cut in mix. Also cleans up if you use regular 7 strings (I use d'addario) & then tune super low. My current tuning is F#, drop B-c#. Very easy to intonate & set up. Very flat EQ. Note: this guitar has absolutely NO character what-so-ever. You will really hear the coloration of any/all other gear in your signal chain.

Look no further
I use closed back & 16 ohm. Great punch. Very heavy. Built a wooden caster rig for easier transport & strapped down with latching cables (gives kind of a suspenders look). Bought with black finish to match my H&K Warp X head. Loaded with Celestion V-30s. Absolutely love this set up.

Original Tuner for me
This was my first tuner. Never needed another one. Enough said. 1st in signal chain.

Use this close to beginning of Signal Chain
It goes guitar, tuner, then Decimator 2 before any other pedal. Greatly cleans up my signal allowing all other pedals to cleanly do their thing. Brilliantly cleans up my tone. Use sparingly. Can make you sound digital. I rarely go past 50%. Second in signal chain.

Works Great. Is it's own tone.
Very sensitive & powerful compressor with it's own tone. Lots of squash. Favorite settings: Volume at 85%, Sensitivity 25%. Must use sparingly. Can easily squash your dynamics a bit too much. Third in signal chain.
