New Epiphone Masterbilt Century Series

Yeah, I'm a bit keen on the Olympic 'cause Dave Rawlings plays an original one, although that's not my style of playing - but they look so cool.

I found a picture of the whole series:

EDIT: And now I found this: http://media.musiciansfriend.com/is/image/MMGS7/Limited-Edition-Electar-Century-Amplifier/J06034000000000-00-500x500.jpg

What is up with Epiphone?

New Epiphone Masterbilt Century Series

Have you noticed Epiphone re-releasing their 20's-30's archtop guitars. At least they are pretty good looking. They got solid tops and are probably all made in Asia. They seem to be affordable.

Which model of Gibson do you lot think this is?

Could that be a Gibson Memphis?

I thought he was joking.... I mean, it say what it is right on it!

I was wondering of this is some specific model or something. Be nicer to new members!

As you can see on the headstock, this Gretsch is part of the electromatic series. Next thing to do, is checking out the series for the right model.

Complaints, Concerns, Errors, Suggestions, and Ideas!

And it would flood this page with thousands of people who had uploaded two videos to their Youtube channel and consider themselves as pros. Just like Instagram is full of "professional" photographers. But I admit that it's a difficult decision where to draw that line.

Acoustic electric

I never had a pickup-system that fully convinced me. So why don't you just use a good guitar with a mic?

I can't stand Ovations.

Adams said in the comments that it is a Kent. Never heard of those.

It must be this one but I can't figure out the model: https://www.liveauctioneers.com/item/13422344_kent-12-string-electric-guitar

EDIT: I'm close. I think it is a 745.

EDIT: EDIT: Yep, it is. Tricky one.

UK Has Left European Union

I ordered an Original Fuzz guitar strap in England two weeks ago, when the Pound was stronger than the Euro. Hard to imagine that Germans and other mainlanders will fly over to Britain because everything is less expensive.

UK Has Left European Union

Apart from any economic and national interests or fears of migration - today's truly a sad day for the idea of an idealistic and collaborative Europe standing united in peace under one transnational flag. We should never forget what brought us together in the first places. Thinks are looking more and more like they were at the beginning of the century. Not good.

I did a little research and the Harmony guitar we were looking for is a H44 not the Newport. Pretty close I must admit. https://www.instagram.com/p/9bzZNyLMWt/?taken-by=bahamasmusic http://c-nelson.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/1956_Harmony_Stratotone-001.jpg

Narcist, I did the guitars and spotted some straps (I don't know where that came from). Will you do the amp and the pedals for Bahamas? I'm not that good at these.
I even found more amp pictures.

Still Bahamas: That's a D-18, right? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=36W4jaVJmUg

Identifying the gear

Yes, I realise that, but there were two fundamental mistakes with that. First, as I've seen, we try to keep artists names on here, then the band / alias. Also, the one with just Bahamas has a bad submission that needs to be deleted.

I agree but shouldn't there be something like Afie "Bahamas" "Jurvanen. I mean, it's his stage name and he's using it for everything.

Narcist, there already was a profile for Bahamas under his alias.

He ("Bahamas") even named his first album "Pink Strat". The other photo shows an old beautiful Abbey I visited in France.

Guys,

I'm back. I was on vacation in the south of France. Pretty awesome area. https://www.instagram.com/p/BG4OzR0CZ3T/?taken-by=alex.vulpo But I was not willing to pay 27$ for one week of Wi-Fi so I couldn't check the board.

Back to work: What are you guys seeing on this picture? Three Strats, an old Guild and two Harmony's/Silvertones I guess. The right one seems to be a Jupiter but what about the rest? https://www.instagram.com/p/9bzZNyLMWt/?taken-by=bahamasmusic

that Taylor guitar looks nice indeed. Welcome to the board.

Yeah, i think it's an Earth too – but which one? 100?

I actually like Bear's Den. Saw them live last year when they opened for Mumford & Sons in Berlin (Waldbühne), which was a pretty cool venue. The whole thing and the area around the Waldbühne were build during the Third Reich for the 1936's Olympics. The whole dark and megalomaniac architecture of that era is always impressing. And Bear's Den's debut "Islands" was a pretty solid record when you dig that kind of music.

Anyone familiar with Cort Guitars? I'm absolutely not. I'm looking for the dreadnought played by the guy with the orange beanie.

Looks like an Earth because of the black tuners. Does anybody know if they changed their headstock logo? On the new ones I can only find a different one.

Maybe it is better visible in here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yaKdjD-OyRs

The "SM" often stands for a slotted headstock, at least on newer models.

10yabout 10 years ago

Anyone bought any new cds or downloaded anything or gowever you get your music?

I loved that album back then. As far as I can remember the last thing I bought physically was Michael Kiwanuka's first record "Home Again". Ah, and Augustine's "Rise Ye Sunken Ships". They're pretty good. I bought them on CD. But only after I made sure that I love these records via the internet.

Recently I got lost into Rouge Wave's new album "Delusions of Grand Fur". Pretty amazing!

Okay, can you get that one as well. Martin SM but which model?

Hey, me again.

I know there are not many black Gibson acoustics out there. I recently read how Gibson even behaves difficult on that color when it comes to custom models. Some say it's in honor of Johnny Cash though he played a black Martin mainly.

I did a little research on Sera Cahoone's rig today and found this: https://sealivemusic.files.wordpress.com/2012/09/seracahoone.jpg

Looks like a Dreadnought but I think it's not the Elvis Dove 'cause of the pickguard. She shape reminds of a J-45 but can that be?

Any ideas?

Complaints, Concerns, Errors, Suggestions, and Ideas!

I enjoy collecting watches myself, particularly 19th century pocket watches.... but I don't really bring that hobby over here.... I save it for the dedicated watch sites. But maybe we should fan out! Yet, where to stop? Scuba gear? My mom makes folk jewelry and quilts... wanna do that too? The server expense will go way up if you attract a following for hobbies/professions other than music.

I'm with you, Jim.

If you declare all this an official part, because Deadmau5 enjoys his computer, people will not only post their computer crap but also food and clothes and everything they buy and own until there's nothing musical left.

I'm feeling you on that. Nearly every American indie artist now has at least one strange (formerly) cheap Harmony in it's different appearances in their rig. Auberbach, Ryan Adams and Pat Smear use to play this Buck Owens American acoustic (made by Harmony as well) which was once cheap garbage, a merchandise product for country singer Buck Owens. If you now want one of these here, you've gotta pay more than I did for my J-45. Same with a lot of the stuff Jack White uses.
