Versatile controller for Ableton, VST, and light DJing

Sort of an impulse buy with no intention to us for DJing, I tediously mapped to be an Ableton and VST controller..worth it in the end and I still use it to DJ with for light venues.

Affordable controller with steep learning curve and versatile features

Still sort of getting in the groove for it (steep learning curve) but great and super affordable controller. I use the pads and encoders for Ableton SFX and EFX racks and the nice little CV out control for external analog sequencing.

using a tablet for wireless music control and DJing without hardware controllers

So after much debate, I finally purchased one of these and I run a jazzmutant lemur style controller app over wifi to ableton..so now I need a personal router for my rig. Or hopefully supports MIDI through mirco to standard USB coding..I guess we will find out. Also DJ off of it without any hardware controllers needed.

Interesting. Curious, what's the "jazzmutant lemur style controller app" you're using?

its called "myOSC" I'm not sure if it is lemur like now that I think about it. the interface (graphic) just made a connection

Versatile tool for MIDI writing and Ableton shortcuts

I originally bought it for portable MIDI writing but then turned it upside down and reprogrammed to be an Ableton shortcut controller.

Big fan of the "rack" view on this software. A keeper for live perfromances.

Essential for mastering, less ideal for electronic music

Not really my favorite for electronic music work, but a necessity for mastering and signal processing!

Not the best $150 purchase, but offers fun tweaks

Ok not my best choice in $150 gear purchase, but has some fun little tweaks. I recommend buying a power supply (make sure the right voltage/current). Not as useful as its twin, the Mini KP 2
