I got this power conditioner as it filters power.

I got this power conditioner as it filters power. However, after ordering 4 of these I realized they are more made for live sound than I would say a studio, as it uses a very weird type of power adapter in which I had to buy adapters for to plug my power conditioners into my unified power systems. I however would recommend it for its price range and what it does. I also really love the USB charger as I use it for my iPhone and iPad all the time.

This is without any doubt my favorite synthesizer.

I get so creative with this thing. I love using it combined with plugins to add lush delays and reverbs to the sound. This is without any doubt my favorite synthesizer. It is incredibly versatile. You can get abstract sounds such as ocean waves to the fattest mono leads you will ever hear. I use it a lot within logic with the external instrument plugin, however, recently I have been getting into making a cool voyager patch, recording middle c for a few bars (around 8-10 bars usually, if it is a sustaining sound, I mostly do this for leads so it usually is) and I bring it into kontakt and use the time and pitch algorithms to make my voyager polyphonic.

You can get transparent or color out of this thing depending on what transformer setting you have applied.

This is a very versatile preamp. What I really like about this preamp is the fact that you have three different transformers. When used in a pair you can get really creative and go for different color on the L then R of whatever your amping. You can get transparent or color out of this thing depending on what transformer setting you have applied. My favorite setting is the discrete however I use the steel a lot too.

My go-to guitar pre amp.

My go-to guitar pre amp. The color and sound of this thing is incredible. Sometimes ill even use the pair of these I have as a preamp for my moog voyager, again the sound is incredible. One of the most colored pre amps I have ever heard tbh, not a transparent preamp.

While I love the germanium tone control EQ, these pres are way too colored for my liking.

see for me the color is made to match my gibson and meet in heaven lol. However, for most applications the color is way too much. As I said on of the most colored pre amps I have ever heard.

I love this EQ as it can really enhance the low and high ends of a mix.

I love this EQ as it can really enhance the low and high ends of a mix. I got a pair of these babies when they were on sale at sweet water. Incredibly intuitive to use.

At the time of this review, this is my only analog compressor. I use it a lot. It is great on tracks, bus's and the master.

At the time of this review, this is my only analog compressor. I use it a lot. It is great on tracks, bus's and the master. I am without any doubt addicted to my Shadow Hills Dual Vandergraph. It is a class A VCA compressor with discrete color. It has 4 filter settings and 4 different ratios. You can't set the ratio high enough for any limiting however.

Shadow Hills makes great stuff for the 500 series format but I don't know this unit. Is it optical or VCA? if opto is it a FET design or does it have a miniature or subminiature tube in there? Maybe a sharp cutoff pentode?????? I ask because the dual-slot design means its got double the voltage to the power rails, it could fire up the heaters on a tube or 2 with that.... more info in this review please.

I don't think I will ever look for a different interface company. UA has my full trust.

Universal Audio is an incredible company. I love the DSP processing on my Apollo Quads (I have two daisy chained together via thunderbolt) and the plug-ins are amazing. I wish I had more UAD plug-ins but most of them are out of my budget. I treat myself to a UAD plugin here and there as a gift to self.

I love Universal Audio and I don't think I will ever look for a different interface company. UA has my full trust.

I understand why certain types of studio prefer TT patch bays however, I prefer the samson patch bays as it is quarter inch to quarter inch cables.

I understand why certain types of studio prefer TT patch bays however, I prefer the samson patch bays as it is quarter inch to quarter inch cables. This unit is a solid unit unlike other patch bays I have had in the past where you have the quarter inch female adapters falling out of the patch bay. I got this patchy thinking it was going to be cheap and durable only to learn that it is amazing and durable.

If your not someone who needs all the knobs and your more into controllers for just keys, this is what I recommend.

This keyboard is amazing. I love its mackie transport controls. This controller is simple and fits on a desk between your computer keyboard and monitor very well as it is a compact unit. If your not someone who needs all the knobs and your more into controllers for just keys, this is what I recommend.

You don't want to know how many tracks this thing can handle, it will just make your mind melt.

As a musician who uses their computer for the center of everything they do, their is no better investment than a powerful computer. A lot of people go about spending their money on the hottest plug-ins and all that. I think its a lot wiser to save your money up for a new computer.
