The ADR Compex F760, a FET comp, is noted for its aggressive sound, ideal for drums, yet not an all-rounder due to its distinct color and vintage vibe.

My Master Stereo Bus Compressor, and i couldn't live without it.
My first 500 series compressor i ever bought, and it's the best investment i have ever made. The sound takes my clients, and my own recordings, to a level i was previously struggling to achieve with plug ins and other hardware compressors. I can describe it as a silky, warm, heavy sound that really adds that "finished" feeling to my recordings. The price was unbeatable for a Shadow Hills Unit, let alone a compressor of this build quality. The Dual Vandergraph has exceeded my expectations, i will never forget the first day i started getting familiar with the unit, and added it to a few tracks, and of course my master bus. I will never let go of this unit!

At the time of this review, this is my only analog compressor. I use it a lot. It is great on tracks, bus's and the master.
At the time of this review, this is my only analog compressor. I use it a lot. It is great on tracks, bus's and the master. I am without any doubt addicted to my Shadow Hills Dual Vandergraph. It is a class A VCA compressor with discrete color. It has 4 filter settings and 4 different ratios. You can't set the ratio high enough for any limiting however.

Shadow Hills makes great stuff for the 500 series format but I don't know this unit. Is it optical or VCA? if opto is it a FET design or does it have a miniature or subminiature tube in there? Maybe a sharp cutoff pentode?????? I ask because the dual-slot design means its got double the voltage to the power rails, it could fire up the heaters on a tube or 2 with that.... more info in this review please.
