You don't want to know how many tracks this thing can handle, it will just make your mind melt.
As a musician who uses their computer for the center of everything they do, their is no better investment than a powerful computer. A lot of people go about spending their money on the hottest plug-ins and all that. I think its a lot wiser to save your money up for a new computer.
