Alan Braxe's Keyboards and Synthesizers
I bought the Octatrack about five months ago and I’m not in full control of it yet because it’s quite complex. You can do a lot of things but what I find really interesting are the parameter locks on the sequencer. I’m mainly starting to use it as a MIDI sequencer because you can control every parameter of hardware synths with it. In one minute you can build a pattern and control notes, filter settings, decay, attack, MIDI continuous controllers on every step of the bar. It’s really cool
Alan Braxe talks about his SH2 in the beginning of the clip. "This one is really good for bass, leads and all kinds of plastic sounds"
The Oberheim Xpander can be seen on the still shot of this video (before pressing play), in Alan Braxe's studio, on the left.
In a studio tour video by MusicRadar Tech on YouTube, Alan Braxe showcases his use of the Studio Electronics Omega 8 synthesizer.
Answering a question about the synths used in his 2002 track 'Palladium', Alan comments: "all synth sounds by moog opus III".
