Beardyman's Gear
"This iPad app is one of the most unique synths ever made. It measures metadata from your touches, giving you the ability to intuitively control hundreds of variables: time since last touch; average speed of movement; speed of first, second, third touch; distance between touches... It’s unique and sounds fucking insane. A sound designer’s dream.”

Beardyman used KP-3s extensively before developing the Beardytron 5000. "You could do accurate subdivisions of a tempo, or multipliers of a tempo. (...) But whilst they were the best thing out there at the time as an effect/pseuso-looping solution, and they can resample into themselves, they do all of that very clunkily and slowly."

According to this article, 3 iPads are implemented in the Beardytron: two of them control the machine as a whole, and the other is used for extra musical apps.
According to this article, the Beardytron 5000 includes a Rob Papen Delay in its setup.
The Beardytron 5000 contains no less than 8 instances of this compressor. "It took me a good month or so to learn my way around [Compassion] because once you go under the hood of it, you can tweak it more than any other compressor."
"There are several channels, which are delineated into their respected functions (...). I can put any genre into it and i've got other settings (...) allowing me to sidechain for each different genre." The Beardytron 5000 contains at least 15 instances of the Turnado (15 at time of printing): "A lot of them feed off each other, so doing one thing on one will cause a macro to happen on another one for build ups and drops."
“It’s complex enough to require a setup wizard, yet it’s so well-designed that you don’t need to understand the maths behind it to use it. The best-sounding and most fully featured EQ ever by a significant margin.”
