Caught this stick at a solo show in NYC. Signature is his (but is on the other side of the stick as the branding, hence two pictures).

In early Mutemath shows, Darren would play this kit which can be seen in the photo. From around 2006 to early 2007, he only used the bass drum from this set and switched the toms out with Slingerland toms instead of the Rogers. Note that it might actually be a "champagne sparkle" rather than a "gold sparkle" Rogers kit as they both have similar finishes.

In early Mutemath shows, Darren king used a Slingerland Blue Agate drum set. He had the bass drum mounted on a keyboard stand behind him, and the toms were on his kit. This video shows an early Mutemath performance that is posted on their official youtube page where he is using these drums, best seen around 1:37.

The controller is visible in this part of the video from his official website. When asked about it after a show, he identified it as a DrumKAT controller from the '80s and noted that he uses it because it's very sturdy.
