Dimebag Darrell's Gear
Dimebag Darrell extensively used the Bill Lawrence L500 XL pickup in the bridge position of his Dean guitars, particularly from 1982 to 1997, often with inverted poles. This information is supported by Bill Lawrence USA.
this dean was one of dimes favorite guitars. It has a tabacco burst finish and it was later dubbed the far beyond driven guitar because he used it extensively during the tour for the album. in the mid 1990's he added a few stickers. Dean has rereleased the guitar for a limited run of 100 copies on their website for $3599.00.
In one of the videos that he had with the lessons, when he played with Damageplan in Tokyo, he shows us this pedal saying that it's something new that dunlop has made for him and then he starts playing it.
Throughout this video, Dimebag Darrell can be seen playing a Washburn Southern Cross.
In this 1994 interview, Dimebag Darrell calls his 1981 blue Dean from Hell, his workhorse guitar. "I stuck to what I've always used -- Randall amps, and my main guitar is still my blue '81 Dean with the Kiss stickers. That guitar just can't be topped. I use that on all the songs that are in standard tuning," he said.

This photo from U.S. Music Corporation shows an ad for Randall amps featuring Darrell "Diamond, Dimebag" Abbott of Pantera and Damageplan. This ad lists that he uses the Randall 200 125 watt Solidstate head with a combination of Randall 412JB Guitar Cabinets 412CB Guitar Cabinets.

According to this Seymour Duncan product review, Dimebag used the '59 bridge model in the neck to compensate for the Dimebucker's high power. It provided a smoother sound that can be heard in Dimebag Darrell's solos.
Dime co-designed a guitar with Dean just months before his death. Called the Razorback, it was a modified version of the ML. The guitar came with various versions, such as the one with 24 frets. Though Dime was never actually seen with the guitar onstage as it was released by Dean posthumously, he did play the prototype and had approved it about a month or two before his death.
This stereo amp was used on the song Cemetery Gates.

In the official music video for "Psycho Holiday" by Pantera, Dimebag Darrell is seen playing the Dean ML with a reverse headstock. This guitar later gained fame as the "Primal Concrete Sledge" guitar.

In the first years of Pantera, DIAMOND Darrel Abbot only later to be nicknamed Dimebag played a 1977 Dean ML BFH. The BFH stood for "Big F'n Headstock".

Dimebag Darrell used the Washburn Hellaflauge Electric Guitar, identifiable by the Damageplan sticker on its wing, in several Damageplan videos and during live performances of "New Found Power." This usage is evident in the YouTube video "Damageplan - Pride" by AndreeSnak.

[Darrell] They're Randall RG100HTs. They're rack mount. I think HT means "rack mount", I don't know.
[Interviewer] You got a pedal board?
[Darrell] I don't I have them in a rack and the only thing else I use is a Furman PQ-4 parametric equalizer. I just use that, I don't really use it for much more than just cuttin' out some frequencies that I don't want and boostin' a couple that I do want. And the main thing is another vital, detrimental thing to my tone, is a little blue MXR Six Band EQ, nine volt battery and that's it. I use a-

[Darrell] I don't even include that, because I come out and I fuckin' just use that thing to get super ridiculous squeals. I just got it, I don't even know how to use it good yet.
In the May 2000 edition of Guitar World on page 116 there is a picture with him and the dr logo at the bottom a the quote in the middle. it says that "Dime uses Dr "High-Beam" electrics for he Attack and brightness he is famous for."
