Gustav Ejstes' Gear
On some live shows Gustav Ejstes is seen using a black Hagström Viking, when playing electric guitars.
Ejstes and Fiske’s guitar parts were usually tracked directly into the “purple” workstation using a Line 6 POD-XT or a handful of pedals that included a ’60s Fuzz Face, an MXR Dyna Comp, a vintage CryBaby, and, most importantly, a late-’50s Klempt Echolette tape echo unit (which was used as a tube preamp even when the echo was bypassed). Several amps were also employed, including a vintage 50-watt Marshall with an 8x10 cab, a Vox AC30, and an ancient Hagstrom—all typically miked with a Sennheiser MD421. Ejstes played an Epiphone ES-335, and Fiske played a Fender Stratocaster assembled from early-’60s parts. One particularly interesting feedback effect was achieved on “Sluta Folja Eiter” by routing the guitar through a stereo hi-fi cab to get the almost headphone-like feedback.
This is the electric piano Gustav Ejstes mainly is seen with at live shows since the releases of the albums Allas Sak and Häxan.

"I use a pedalboard, but I can never really decide on the pedals I want to put on it. The pedals I use most are a Strymon Flint, a Creepy Fingers fuzz, a ZVEX Fuzz Factory, a vintage Fuzz Face, and some others. I have a lot more from people who build me stuff that don’t always make it on the board. I have a lot of fuzz pedals, boost pedals, and preamp-type things. Normally, I always use my old Fuzz Face and just a Cry Baby wah. A new find is this Carlin compressor pedal, which is one of the most radical pedals I’ve ever stumbled upon. There’s actually a clone made now by a guy named Moodysound, and it’s really good."
On tour with Dungen Gustav Ejstes is often seen using the Korg CX-3, instead of a real Hammond organ, with numerous guitar pedals on top of it. Ejstes often alternate between the electric piano and the organ on the live sets, but as seen on this video the piano parts are here completely replaced with organ sounds instead.
Gustav Ejstes has been frequently seen playing the Yamaha CP60M electric piano during performances with both Dungen and Amason, as evidenced by photos shared on Instagram by elviramodesty.
On shows with Dungen, Gustav is seen using the Jazz Chorus-120 for the piano and organ parts.
