Description
Step into the world of classic rock and roll with the Epiphone ES-335, a masterfully crafted tribute to Gibson's legendary semi-hollowbody design. This guitar is more than just an instrument; it's a piece of musical history reimagined for today's players. The layered maple top, back, and sides are meticulously paired with a solid maple center block, delivering a sound that is both rich and resonant. This construction not only enhances sustain but also reduces feedback, making it perfect for both stage and studio.
Equipped with Epiphone's Alnico Classic PRO humbuckers, the ES-335 offers a versatile tonal range that spans from warm and jazzy to bold and crunchy. Each pickup features individual volume and tone controls, allowing you to craft your sound with precision. The rounded-C neck profile, coupled with a 12-inch radius Indian laurel fingerboard, ensures comfort and playability, whether you're strumming chords or bending into solos.
Aesthetically, the ES-335 impresses with its iconic f-holes and double cutaway shape, exuding a timeless style that turns heads. The Kalamazoo headstock and crown inlays add a touch of vintage flair, while the single-ply binding completes its classic look. Matty plays this Dot in "Ghosts" around 2011. (Post Drive Like I Do, maybe during the B I G S L E E P or The Slowdown Era). It's most likely an Epiphone since he (or Adam, cause he's used it too) put tape over the headstock, covering the brand. Both the Vintage Sunburst finish and the design in the headstock match.
Adam uses a Dot thorough this 2011's version of "Sex" while playing as "B I G S L E E P" or "The Slowdown" post - Drive Like I Do and Pre - The 1975. it's most likely an Epiphone since it has tape on the headstock covering the brand.
Alex G is seen using an Epiphone ES-335 Cherry in a YouTube video by Erin Schwab.
In an Instagram post, Casey Cavaliere is pictured playing an Epiphone ES-335 during a recent tour.
In this user-uploaded photo, Ricky Jamaraz's Epiphone ES-335 is visible on the far left of the bed.
Ejstes and Fiske’s guitar parts were usually tracked directly into the “purple” workstation using a Line 6 POD-XT or a handful of pedals that included a ’60s Fuzz Face, an MXR Dyna Comp, a vintage CryBaby, and, most importantly, a late-’50s Klempt Echolette tape echo unit (which was used as a tube preamp even when the echo was bypassed). Several amps were also employed, including a vintage 50-watt Marshall with an 8x10 cab, a Vox AC30, and an ancient Hagstrom—all typically miked with a Sennheiser MD421. Ejstes played an Epiphone ES-335, and Fiske played a Fender Stratocaster assembled from early-’60s parts. One particularly interesting feedback effect was achieved on “Sluta Folja Eiter” by routing the guitar through a stereo hi-fi cab to get the almost headphone-like feedback.
