Guthrie Govan's Guitars
In the video titled "Guthrie Govan - Regret #9 - Guitar Solo" by Marin Grubišić on YouTube, Guthrie Govan is seen playing a Fender American Deluxe Stratocaster.
From 5:14 Guthrie talks about his guitar saying "it’s quite a busy band, it’s got a lot going on sonically". As you can see this is the Charvel Guthrie Govan signature model. In 2019 Guitar World interview, Govan reveals that he used the signature model on The Aristocrats' 2019 record, "You Know What...?"
"Guthrie unleashes the full potential of the Boden 8 Custom Shop with True Temperament in his work with Hans Zimmer."
"It has a thicker neck, the world's largest headstock. It's kind of jazz master shaped but you can see there's some non-jazzmaster DNA in there..." says Guthrie, at around 5:00 in this rig rundown video.
Guthrie is seen playing this guitar at 0:11, 0:38 1:00 and 3:35

For instance, I now know I should acquire a Fender Jazzmaster. [In the studio] they had a really nice ’60s Jazzmaster and that’s what you hear on all of “Spiritus Cactus.”
In a demo video by Guitar Interactive Magazine, Guthrie Govan showcases his mastery of the Vigier Excalibur Surfreter Supra Fretless Guitar, commenting on the intuitive finger placement developed from playing fretted instruments.
Used in "The Aristocrats" tour 2015.
And 'When We All Come Together' features a veritable catalog of weird instruments - I used a BilT Corvaire, a Duesenberg baritone and mandola, a no-name 'junk shop' archtop acoustic, a Deering banjo... and probably some other things, too!
Govan mentions the guitar in [2019 Guitar World interview]:
The real secret weapon in that song was a bizarre instrument that I found lying around in the studio - I believe it was called a BilT Corvaire. To me, this guitar looked like a thoroughly eccentric mashup of elements from various unrelated classic designs: a Jazzmaster vibrato unit, f-holes that ran through the entire thickness of the body, and so on. But it sounded just perfect for that track.
In the YouTube video titled "Guthrie Govan acoustic solo," Guthrie Govan performs the song "Taken Dreams (Live)" using a vintage Gibson J-200 acoustic guitar.
