Jimmy is a fan of Les Pauls, specifically custom shops as shown by many photos of him playing with his guitar of choice which appears to be a custom shop Les Paul, evidenced by the guitars unique orange quilt-like finish which is an unconventional finish among many Les Paul models.

Jimmy Murrison is often seen playing a Gibson Les Paul Standard Custom Shop guitar, similar to the one pictured, although his typically feature a slightly lighter finish.

Evidenced by recent photos, Jimmy has begun adding Dean guitars to his arsenal, most notably the Michael Schenker signature V, specificall the Michael Schenker Stanard model.
