John McGeoch's Amplifiers
John McGeoch says, in this interview, "The output is a split mono line which goes to a Marshall 100w stack, a JCM800 on one side and the other side is a Roland JC-120. The Marshall gives me the power and the Roland has a nice clean-ish sound without being weak." John can be found pictures with his Marshall JCM800 here
John used a Fender Twin in the early days of Siouxsie and the Banshees. You can clearly see a black panel Fender Twin behind John at the beginning of this performance from 1979.
In this image John can be see playing in front of a Marshall JMP MKII 50 Watt amp.
In [this page from the February 1983 issue of Guitar Heroes magazine], John is depicted with his Heritage VTX. Later in the accompanying interview, he says he's recently been "very impressed" with the Peavey combo.
In this Muzines interview conducted by Jon Lewin with John McGeoch in 1985, John McGeoch says "I had money when I was in the Banshees, so I was able to experiment with equipment. But my favourite set-up, one which I used for two years, was two Marshall MV50 combos and a Roland JCS120. One Marshall clean, one dirty, and the Roland miked in stereo, with the chorus on all the time. And with the DI, that gave me five inputs. It sounded great. I still like to do that occasionally wherever possible, miking in stereo."
You can see the JC120 on the right side of each of the two photos included in the article.
