In [this page from the February 1983 issue of Guitar Heroes magazine], John is depicted with his Heritage VTX. Later in the accompanying interview, he says he's recently been "very impressed" with the Peavey combo.
In the video "Elvis Costello & the Attractions 1978-06-15 Rockpalast" by delysidd on YouTube, at 31:58, the Peavey Classic amp badge is visible. Note that this is not the Peavey Heritage VTX, making this entry incorrect.
