Johnny Rivers' Gear
Johnny has been using his Cherry Red 335 with block inlays from around 1964 and it has been his main electric guitar since.
In this YouTube video at 0:16 the presenter asks JR how much his 335 costs. JR replies, "about 400 dollars."
In this image from c. 1971, Rivers can be seen with his late 1950s (?) J-45. You can tell it's a late 50s from the pickguard shape. He used this on the Home Grown record, as he can be seen pictured with it in the gatefold sleeve on the vinyl copy.
