Jon Foreman

Jon has a Gretsch BST-1000 that he used to use during live performances of "This Is Your Life." He utilizes the guitar in an interesting way at the end of the song, he sings into the pickups and modulates his voice by changing the time on his delay pedal creating a scrubbing effect. (This can be seen at 4:46 in the video)

In this Switchfoot performance on Craig Ferguson's show, lead signer Jon Foreman can be seen playing a Gretsch G6136SLBP Brian Setzer Black Phoenix with TV Jones Pickups. The performance is from July 2014. Around 3:35 in the video provides a good look at the guitar. The Bigsby, pickups, color, and pickguard are the details that give it away as this particular model.

This is in preparation for Switchfoot's Native Tongue tour. The pickups and inlays help identify it as the G6128T-53 Vintage Select Duo Jet, as opposed to other Duo Jet models.

This was Jon's guitar for heavy songs in standard in between the vice verses and fading west eras. I've seen videos of him using it for songs like mess of me, gone, and company car.
