Keith Merrow Limited Edition Signature Overdrive POSTED ON AUGUST 21, 2013 POSTED IN GAIN BASED, SIGNATURE SERIES BY DENNIS MOLLAN Keith Merrow Limited Edition Signature Overdrive Introducing the Keith Merrow Limited Edition Signature Overdrive Pedal.

Normally I would tell you how awesome this pedal is, and what makes it so special… but I think Keith does a much better job than I could so heres Keith Merrow to tell you why his pedal is so cool:

Pro Tone has created a limited run of Merrow Overdrive pedals. I’ve used the Pro Tone Dead Horse pedal in front of my amps for a long time and love it. This pedal is based on that platform, but with some refinements based on my recommendations. Because I use this pedal mainly to tighten up a high gain amp, we made this pedal with a bit LESS gain than other TubeScreamer type pedals. It’s tighter, cleaner, with better articulation and clarity. The gain that it has is usable, and not overkill. In addition to being great on the gain channel of an amp, it’s also killer on the clean channel. The overdrive is rather musical, and is capable of nice rock and blues tones. It’s very versatile, and can do anything from rock to modern death metal, depending on how you use it. Keith Merrow
