As in many other photos on his social media, Brown can be seen playing a black and white Fender Stratocaster, as is common among player of the funk inspired pop rhythm guitar he is often heard playing on Bruno Mars' records.

A Big Muff Fuzz/Distortion pedal can be seen on his board here, likely used for more rock-inspired lead sounds.

Shown in conjunction with his Strat and a Marshall amplifier in this August 4, 2017 Instagram post, Brown is using his Tube Screamer with very low gain and high level, likely for volume and mid boost.

While he does not state the specific model, he can clearly be seen using a moderate size Pedaltrain board while on tour

While somewhat out of focus, it is clear that he is using a Line 6 M9 pedal, likely for Modulation and Delay effects

During some live performances, Brown will use the Flying V as a secondary guitar to his main choices.
