Recondite's Studio Equipment
Recondite uses the Mackie 802-VLZ3 Mixer as an essential tool for managing audio signals. In an interview with Trax Magazine, he mentions using this mixer to control the main volume and integrate multiple audio sources, such as his girlfriend's laptop for movie playback and his record player's amplifier, through his speakers.
The LPK 25 is a standard USB midi keyboard with 25 keys. It is small, the touch of the keys is not very nice, but it does the trick. When I play melodies, I do it freely mostly before I put additional work on the played sequences within the computer. I can take it with me anywhere and it comes in very handy when I know i won't be home for more than two weeks. I would not take it with me for just one week, as then the laptops internal keys would be enough.
in this photo we can see his Alesis VI25.
Can you tell us what your studio currently consists of?
A computer hooked up to a 27“ screen. 2 Akai midi controllers (keyboard, pad and knobs) a universal audio Apollo twin interface feeding two Yamaha hs80 speakers.
