Rhiannon Giddens

Rhiannon Giddens uses a Hartel Levi Brown Banjo circa 1858, as detailed by Minstrelbanjo. This instrument, crafted by Levi Brown alongside contemporaries like William E. Boucher Jr. in mid-19th century Baltimore, features a 26-inch scale length, a cherry neck with maple inlay on a rosewood fingerboard, and Waverly geared tuners. It incorporates a curly cherry veneer over a 12" x 3.25" maple rim, complemented by a premium calfskin head from Jeff Stern and brass shield brackets, hooks, and nuts modeled after the original L. Brown banjo.

Rhiannon Giddens (born February 21, 1977) is an American musician. She is a founding member of the country, blues and old-time music band Carolina Chocolate Drops, where she is the lead singer, fiddle player, and banjo player.
