Rob Buck
Rob Buck's Guitars
This was Buck's main guitar between 1992 and 1994, being seen in multiple live recordings from the time period. The serial number suggests it was built in late 1991.
Rob used two Robin Ranger customs as his primary guitars during the In My Tribe-Blind Man's Zoo era. One was finished in black and the other in blonde. Both can be clearly seen throughout the performance.
It is mentioned that Rob used a Sonex (misspelled as Sonax) for the production of 10KM's 1987 album "In My Tribe" in a May 1988 interview with Bruce Pollock.
" Supplied on the album by a Gibson Sonax Artist and a Hamer prototype, those guitar sounds were the propelling force behind Natalie Merchant's epic winsome folky vision"
In the archived image, a Fender Mustang Electric Guitar is visible on a stand in the background, indicating its association with Rob Buck.
In this image, Rob Buck is seen playing a black Danelectro 56 U2. This guitar was likely used for the song "These Are Days," which features open E flat tuning, explaining why Buck is strumming all the strings open.
Rob can be seen playing the Black Falcon in the attached photo. This photo dates to around 1995, which is the year that the Falcon was primarily used.
Buck can be seen playing this guitar on the RuPaul show in 1997. This guitar was primarily used during the Love Among the Ruins era (1997-98).
Buck can be seen playing a Gibson Explorer in this picture from the mid-late 90s.
