In this 2021interview with 'For Bass Players Only', Di Giorgio writes: "Yeah! I bought the Tech 21 YYZ pedal. I predominantly record with my Ibanez BTB basses, which put out a pretty hot sound. I also have a huge Rickenbacker collection. I still like to use those as much as I can, but they’re the old school and not powerful enough, so I gave the YYZ pedal a chance. In the user’s manual, there’s even an example setting called “Rickenbacker.” So I copied the settings, plugged the bass in and we were off running. I got an amazing sound! I wrote to the guy and told him like, “Wow, I found a home for this pedal now!” The YYZ pedal goes hand-in-hand with that Rickenbacker. Something about it just works right for me. The combination works right, and so that’s what I use for recording."
