Synyster Gates' Guitars
Avenged Sevenfold's guitarist Synyster Gates' uses a Synyster Gates signature Schecter guitar, as seen in this Premier Guitar video at (0:40). According to his guitar tech, he uses several of these guitars in different colors and tunings (Mainly Drop D, but also Standard and Drop C# (Drop D down a half step)). "The different thing about these guitars," the tech says, "is the Sustaniac pickup," in the neck position. The bridge pickup is a, "Seymour Duncan, I think Invader," the tech says (2:07).
Synyster Gates can be seen using a Les Paul Custom in the video for "Unholy Confessions."
In the Making of the Self-Titled Album, Synyster Gates can be seen using this guitar to record some songs. Right in this video, at the beginning, he can be seen using the guitar to record the main riff for "Afterlife"
Syn has also used this guitar on multiple occasions, such as "Walk", a cover by Pantera, at Ozzfest 2006 in San Bernardino, CA. Synyster Gates has also used this performing "Bat Country" live at the Chainsaw Awards in 2006.
Since then Synyster Gates has retired the guitar and no longer has it. >I don’t play it nor do I own it anymore. Honestly, I wanted one because of my hero Dimebag but now that I’ve seen the overwhelming effect that it has on people, I can’t be a party to it. I’m not saying that all people that still support the confederate flag support the negative connotations. I just have no excuse being a kid from So-Cal witnessing all the people it offends representing any part of it right, wrong, or indifferent.< (Source: https://syngates.com/threads/syns-confederate-flag-guitar.651/ )

In 2013, Synyster Gates received a limited edition Schecter Synyster Custom Joker Special Edition guitar, reflecting his admiration for the DC Comics villain.
In the "making of Critical Acclaim" video by kylie Roak, Synyster Gates is seen using the Schecter Synyster Custom American Flag guitar during the 2006-2007 period.
Synyster Gates re-released this guitar along side his "Golden Goddess" (White w/ Gold Pinstripes) as a request of the fans. He released a version of this one around 2011, one with Seymour Duncan Invaders, and another version but with a sustainiac pickup installed. In the "RED RUM" he installed his new Black Synbucker pickups.

Synyster gates also used a Schecter C-1 FR on the recording and tour for thier album (and the following tour) city of evil. It was given to him by Scechter after he tried signing on to their roster, but they were too full at the time. He was given his first signature guitar within a year of this. In 2016, Schecter decided to make a very small and limited run of his white C1 FR. There were only 100 that were ever made.
Synyster Gates has this guitar dedicated to The Rev (as seen different inlays). He plays this variant live for performances of “So Far Away” and uses it on other occasions such as the Guitar Center Master Class with Synyster Gates.
Syn used the guitar during the Waking The Fallen era while touring.
Officially announced and dropped on November 23rd, 2020, Synyster Gates released this special guitar limited to only 100 pieces. This guitar has a 3D satin black body with gloss black pinstripes. It also includes his signature Synyster Gates split-coil US-wound pickups and an upgraded Floyd Rose 1500 bridge system on the guitar.
This 3D satin black body with gloss black pinstripes doesn’t just look otherworldly, it sounds that way too. The warmth from the addition of the satin black finish was hoped for, but exceeded all of my expectations. The striking look of the gold accents puts this one into a level of its own easily becoming my favorite of all time. This one has been my main squeeze for the last year. It comes with my super hot, yet warm and articulate, signature Synyster Gates split-coil US-wound pickups. The low radius neck and upgraded Floyd Rose 1500 bridge system allows me to spend all of my time in my imagination and not overcoming physical hurdles. Simply put, I’m in love with my new guitar and I know you will be too.
My promise to you: I will NEVER make another one of these guitars to ensure that our place in shared history will be as sacred and rare as the guitar itself, only appreciating over time.
All of my love, SYN<
Recently, Syn has been using this guitar during the "Life Is But a Dream…" tour.
In a behind the scenes video taken in the 'city of evil' days (2005), Syn can be seen at the end of this video @7:14 playing and allegedly recording the clean guitars in Bat country, using this Gibson ES-335 Dot.
We do not know a lot about this guitar, other than the fact of Syn using this to record the song Paradigm, therefore this guitar earning the nickname “paradigm guitar”. You can a better shot of the guitar here [https://youtu.be/xBmuBQB5fs4] at 1:19

The name says it all. This was a real 8-String Synyster Gates guitar posted on Twitter by Seymour Duncan.
At 9:45, Syn tells that he used this guitar for cleans for “The Stage”.
at 1:37 he can be seen holding it in the beast and the harlot video he has red seymour duncan invaders but when schecter started producing the model they put his signature seymour duncan invaders.
As Synyster Gates quotes himself:
I wanted to create a once in a lifetime opportunity for the diehard fan to collect 'small batch' extremely limited and collectible guitars that will increase value over time, with aesthetics that I believe are genuinely unique and cool
I wanted to create a connection with the fan that I would've loved to have had with my guitar heroes. This is much more than a guitar as you will quickly learn once you've become a part of this exclusive family
This guitar is extremely valuable, as only 50 were ever produced. Each guitar comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by Synyster Gates himself. More information here: https://syngatesstore.com/products/synyster-gates-custom-black-moon-guitar
Synyster Gates used this guitar on the making of the song "Brompton Cocktail".
