In the Making of the Self-Titled Album, Synyster Gates can be seen using this guitar to record some songs. Right in this video, at the beginning, he can be seen using the guitar to record the main riff for "Afterlife"
Syn has also used this guitar on multiple occasions, such as "Walk", a cover by Pantera, at Ozzfest 2006 in San Bernardino, CA. Synyster Gates has also used this performing "Bat Country" live at the Chainsaw Awards in 2006.
Since then Synyster Gates has retired the guitar and no longer has it. >I don’t play it nor do I own it anymore. Honestly, I wanted one because of my hero Dimebag but now that I’ve seen the overwhelming effect that it has on people, I can’t be a party to it. I’m not saying that all people that still support the confederate flag support the negative connotations. I just have no excuse being a kid from So-Cal witnessing all the people it offends representing any part of it right, wrong, or indifferent.< (Source: https://syngates.com/threads/syns-confederate-flag-guitar.651/ )
