RE: 1967 Customized Telecaster S/N 206899
Dear Sir;
The guitar described herein was owned and used by me during the period of time that I was a member of the band, Bachman-Turner Overdrive (BTO). This guitar was used by myself during the time BTO recorded the Bachman Turner Overdrive 2 album. When BTO was re-formed in 1983, I used the guitar from 1983 to 1989. I left BTO in 1989.
The guitar was acquired by myself in Seattle and subsequently customized by a Vancouver, British Columbia luthier named Attila Balough. The customizing done by Attila included reshaping the body and coloring the body green. The customizing of the body took place before the BTO 2 album and the body was colored green just before 1983.
The guitar is described as follows:
Customized 1967 Fender Telecaster 6 string electric with re-shaped body colored see-through green.
The two pick-ups are replaced with two high output blade (single pole) style pick-ups. The body had twin points on the lower end, see through green finish, conventional Telecaster control plate with two knobs and one switch, 21 fret rosewood finger board, black laminated pickguard. There are 3 saddles mounted on 3 threaded bolts; each saddle has 2 Allen head bolts for height and adjustment. Headstock has large style Fender Telecaster decal on clear finished maple Telecaster headstock; neckplate is stamped with serial number 206899.
I trust this is satisfactory. Please call the writer if you have any questions.
Signed at Abbotsford in the Province of British Columbia this 29th day of March, 2000.
