The bass guitarist of Japanese metal band "Dir En Grey" Toshiya, has cemented himself in musical history as having one of, if not THE, most unique bass guitars on the planet. Killer Guitars teamed their efforts with Toshiya's creative insight and together they developed the Killer 3epo sometimes refereed to as "The Prawn". The 1992 "Miyako" music video features Toshiya playing this bass.

He has retired the bass sense and his primary bass as of 2015 is a ESP D-TT "Trick Star" Toshiya Custom Bass.
