FANTASTIC pedal
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this pedal and all the options I have with creating/editing new patches via the Mac app, iPad app and iPhone app though I'd think twice about purchasing this pedal if you don't have some sound design experience. Without it you might be stuck playing with just the presets.

I went from a guy that made fun of people who used "fruity loops"....
To the guy that bought FL studio after seeing it's capabilities in certain areas were above and beyond that of any other DAW. You can't even call it Fruity Loops anymore. It is so far beyond the free software they offered all those years ago that you have to call it what they aptly renamed it.....FL STUDIO!

The most intuitive DAW for working with audio & performing live.
I don't even perform live but I'm well aware of it's capabilities for live performance. I just use it in the studio setting where it's easily the most impressive DAW I've ever used for manipulating audio. That's not to say it's MIDI capabilities are limited because they're not at all. I run more MIDI tracks than I do audio in 100% of my song, but the things you can do with audio in Ableton are just mind boggling and next level.

Bought this after owning an Apogee duet and never looked back
I had a rack mount Rosetta 800 in my studio but when I moved out and downsized to a home rig I made the mistake of buying an Apogee Duet believing the reviewers that state they sound just like all Apogee gear. They don't. The Apollo however DOES sound like UA's more expensive gear. If you don't need multitrack recording (honestly who does nowadays?) don't get a duet. Get this!

I bought these for the smaller room in my apt
My room was JUST to small to handle 8's and though I own a pair of KRK VXT 8's and am therefore used to the KRK sound I didn't want to go as small as 6's. After extensive listening to different monitors these won out.....AND the price was right! GREAT bang for your buck! I'm about to get a set of HS5's too!

One of, if not the best Monitors in it's price range...
Of course if you're willing to spend more you can do better with some Focal Twins, Barefoots, etc, etc, but if you're under a budget and need a set of monitors that deliver the entire frequency range then these are for you, like they are for me. That said they don't do well in small rooms (like ANY 8" or bigger woofers....when will people realize that SMH) but if you have a decent size room then they're great.

Makes me sound EXACTLY like EVH!
Well, tone wise at least LOL. I can't play like EVH nor will I ever be able to. I'm not dedicated enough to practice the 10 hours a day it would require to achieve that, and even then it would still take me 30 years HAHAHA! This pedal is the SH!T though!

Great compressor for your pedalboard
Coming from a production & engineering background I have a love hate relationship with compression. I despise the overly compressed sound of too much popular music nowadays, but at the same time I want my guitar playing to sound like it does when I record & mix it. That requires compression so my dynamic range isn't off the map. This unit allows me to dial in JUST the right amount and it has such a small footprint on my pedalboard. GREAT pedal!

you don't have enough compression from your JCM800? try turning it up louder and hit lower wattage celestions than what you are using currently, it'll all compress nicely for you then

Man you don't read before you comment do you? LOLOL! I don't play my JCM anymore! I'm lucky if I play it once a year. I keep it at my parents house. I play out of a H&K TM 18 with a TM 110 cab in my apt.

I was udner the impression you were just pissing off your neighbors.... the H&K is too punchy and dynamic? try an ac30 or marshall 18 watter... nothing against pedal compressors, I just never trust an 'always on stomp box' unless its a treble booster for gettin' your 70s May or Iommi on

@jimmarchi1 There hasn't been an electric guitar on a popular recording since the 1960's that wasn't given further compression than that which is naturally produced by an amp. Like I said in my review, I have a love hate relationship with it because today people go NUTS, squashing the hell out of every instrument to the point where there's no dynamic range whatsoever, but I however know how to use it properly and with that knowledge I'm able to dial in a a sound I love that can't be produced by any amp on earth, let alone my JCM 800 or My TM 18. Now that I've found a compression pedal I really love I actually want 2 of them hooked up to my PXL Live so I can have one set for my distorted tone and another for my clean.

So obnoxiously large, I know....
But I won't be hauling it around to gigs so who cares? I don't play out so I just want the most beautiful, most efficient and sleek pedal board setup possible that I can fit all my pedals on + my switcher/looper & still have a little room left for pedals I want but don't have yet.

I Love it! Living in a Manhattan APT building I couldn't be blasting my JCM800 100 Watt Head w/ 4x12 cab so I had to scale down. This was the PERFECT choice. Took a lot of research and testing to find the right match for me but I found it and I love it.
