Best Monitor for the Price - sounded better than HS8 or KRKs RP 6 G3!!!!
A very difficult decision: KRK RP6 G3 vs YAMAHA HS7. I listened to the Monitors 3 times in different stores, on different days. The first time i thought the KRKs were a lot better than the HS7s. The HS7s sounded a bit too sharp for me. Next time i heard some more music with vocals and the Yamaha's sounded so much better i must hear them another time! So, last time, i went into JustMusic and listened to both of them. The KRKs sound a bit more bassy, but not so flat, clear and precise like the HS7s, so i decided to buy them. The HS8s doesn't sounded better just louder.

I bought these for the smaller room in my apt
My room was JUST to small to handle 8's and though I own a pair of KRK VXT 8's and am therefore used to the KRK sound I didn't want to go as small as 6's. After extensive listening to different monitors these won out.....AND the price was right! GREAT bang for your buck! I'm about to get a set of HS5's too!

iconic...
Ever since the 1970's the iconic white woofer and signature sound of Yamaha's nearfield reference monitors have become a genuine industry standard for a reason
Sexy looking all white studio monitors, very flat.
Flat frequency response, nice looks and very affordable. What's not to like? There are plenty of better, more accurate monitors out there, but not in this price range!

"@jerm_beats Back at the crib from England just mornin Vibin ... #cribwithastudio," reads this Instagram post, in which a Yamaha HS 7 W can be seen.
The white speaker on the desk in this instagram photo appears to be a Yamaha HS7... it could be an HS8 in white but it lookslike a 6.5" woofer to me...
